Food not prepared well. Medium well burgers were well done. Over easy egg was cooked through. Well done fries were the same as regular fries. Pork was overcooked.

I've been debating writing this for years, because it wasn't exactly my greatest moment, but I think it is important for people to know who the owner is. During the pandemic, through door dash, and afterwards in the restaurant, I have probably spent close to $1000 dollars at this place. I went with an ex gf one night after work, but changed my pants before I went, and left my wallet at home. We both got soup, mine had hair in it, and I had a beer. I figured it was an off night so we decided instead of eating dinner we would get the bill and go elsewhere. She goes to the car, I wait for the bill only to realize I left my wallet. I asked the waitress if they take apple pay or would simply take my card info. She said let me check, and then comes the owner/manager who I believe is named Chris. He had a problem with me already and asked how I was going to pay. I reiterated my options having forgot my wallet and he refused my options. I said, well then I will have to come back. He said you didnt pay and must leave your phone, and I told him that isn't how this works. This is now a scene in front of the entire restaurant, and I became embarrassed. I had a long day with little food and came to a trusted place to unwind, only to be treated as a criminal. I said lets go outside to the car and see if I have sufficient "collateral" for you. I never said anything about not paying my bill. I mentioned how ridiculous this is and how much money I've spent here. He said I've never seen you here (I've never seen him either, maybe he should be on the floor more if that is his metric). We had nothing in the car and he held my car door open so I couldnt drive away. I got in his face (no touching occured) and we were yelling. I am not proud of my behavior because I lost my temper, but I have also never been treated this way as a customer. We drove away to return to the restaurant with cash to be greeted by police, who gave me a sobriety exam. Apparently a discrepancy over a bill of $25 is worth the Paoli Police force's time. I told the officer I had one beer (for the whole night) at TJ's and because I didn't have my wallet, I did not get ID'd and being under 30 at a place that has been busted for serving underage before, you would think the cops would be more concerned about that seeing how I returned in under 20 minutes to pay my bill (I am no thief and a man of my word). I proceeded to enter with the officer, and was told after the cash was exchanged I was banned from TJ's, LOL. I would never go back. Chris, if you are reading this, I hope whatever happened to you in your life gets dealt with professionally, because how you engage with others is not acceptable, and if you are not the owner, you should be terminated. You were a bully, not an owner of a local bar. Chris is the exact type of owner Jon Taffer's show is based on. I've never met an owner who needs Taffer shout down more in my life. I've said my piece, I hope this helps others looking for a drink and dinner in the area steer clear of TJ's
