This is our go to place for dinner. We are always remembered when we return and feel like friends. The food is always great and the service is perfect. One of my top 5 restaurants in the area!

Just awful. My date and I recently had dinner. Hadn’t been here in at least 5 years but the reviews were good so gave it a try as he was craving Italian. Nothing felt like it was done with care or from a spirit of hospitality. Waiter was blah. Food was bland. Wine was meh. We won’t be back.

Italian specialties are still great. I wished for family style sides for our party of 7. They were short staffed so service was a bit slow but the staff present really tried to make it work.

Our food was good. Not excellent. We had a 7 PM reservation and we were not seated until 7:50. No apologies no explanation, but it did seem like they were very busy !

My friend's Vicki and Tom took me to dinner at Trattoria San Nicola. The food and service were excellent. I will definitely return in the future as finances permit. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant. Paul S. HeimersParking: The restaurant has a large amount of parking but is so popular the lot fills up quickly.

I love the atmosphere here and we have dined here several times. But our server .... welllll, maybe he was just off-key that night. He seemed very short with us but hey we all have a bad day. The food was great, wine was really nice. I'd definitely dine here again and recommend it!

We made reservations 2 weeks before the date. When our party of four arrived, we were told there were no tables available! Only a bar high top . This was unacceptable. The young man said that was our table, no way! We thought about going elsewhere due to the fact we are in our 50's and a high top table is not comfortable. We told the host that and I then took out my phone to start this review. Suddenly a table for 4 magically was available. The waitress was sweet but I ordered a pasta dish and was not offered grated cheese or red peppers. The sauce was horrible! Tasted like stewed tomatoes with a cup of sugar. The veal parm was okay but the sweet sauce made it worse. Unacceptable dinning experience! We were celebrating two birthdays and the waitress made no attempt to recognize them as others were getting special treatment with their desserts. Very disappointing!

San Nicola used to be my favorite go to a couple/few times a month as they have a menu item I adore (all of their food is excellent!). Although I never got great service at the bar, I would continue to go for my favorite meal. My last visit was sadly my last visit. The bartender Rocco was worse than ever. Myself and the only ONE other person at the bar waited 10 minutes for him to make an appearance. No greeting, just "what do you want"? Rocco's phone never left his hand. He never asked how my meal was. He never asked if I would like a second wine. He never asked or said anything to me. Rocco only had eyes for his phone. Sorry San Nicola, love your food but I can't imagine going back....the "atmosphere" got 2 stars only because the kitchen is SO loud every single time that it's hard to enjoy a meal at the bar. I will miss you San Nicola.

The menu had a lot of veal on it. I ordered chicken Parm, it was just ok, I probably won't go back.

Absolutely love this place! Highly recommend. Great ambiance, but not great acoustics, it can get very loud. Beautiful rustic decor. You need a reservation otherwise you'll end up waiting a while for a table. It's gets packed for HH at the bar. The manager is phenomenal!! He busts his butt working, running food, helping his staff, and checking in with customers. He knows everyone and remembers everyone who comes in. The wine prices are insanely affordable for good quality options. Each table gets fresh hot rolls with pure olive oil. Caesar salad- crispy romaine. Creamy dressing with parm and good anchovie paste flavor. Great starter. Bruschetta is good. Lots of garlic but good flavor and the capers are a perfect addition for a hint of saltiness. Bread is a good crispy crunch but still soft in the middle. Gamberetti- creamy but not over the top. Pasta is perfectly cooked. The sauce pairs well with shrimp and you can really taste the brandy. Tortellini- it's homemade and tender. Good ratio of pasta and filling. Sweetish meat sauce.
