We tried again for the third time, unfortunately still very disappointed. Last night we went, my husband's burger was so over cooked it crunched. Our daughters grilled cheese was not melted and her baked potato was not cooked all the way. My loaded nachos had just a small chunk of meat and a big chunk of fat. With brisket being on the menu it was not even available. Service was horrible, had to remind the waitress my husband didn't get his beer and she never once came over and seen if we needed drinks (only was worried if he wanted another beer) and didn't even ask how the meal was.

On our way to Altoona from North of the border, and College State on the Saturday, we made a pit stop at this little hole in the wall…

At least in what appeared to be one.

Slightly off the beaten path, and worth every second of the stop. Some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had, period (and one us is a world traveller so that says something!). The protein portions were unreal, and with the taste and for the price it was going for..? I promise, you will not be disappointed.

One day we’ll make the trek back as a “white out” game is on the bucket list, and I can assure you we’ll look to make a stop in Penfield 😊

When in for dinner with my services dog for seizures, a lady harassed us demanding my personal information and service dog papers i had to just leave

Be careful if you have a service dog and eat here the owner harassed me and my dog, ask for my personal information and my service dog papers. The owner was rude.

Fantastic place. Ate here a year ago last (moved away) and i still think about their bbq sauce! Absolutely fantastic staff (handle massive groups like a champ), amazing food and a great place to be. If you are anywhere in Elk County EVER, make sure to come by and get a massive plate of something tasty.

Food is good, so were our waitresses. Prices are pretty good also

I’ve been here several times and it can be hit or miss - this time was an absolute hit. 5⭐️ all the way around.

Great. Food if they have it! Worst service. U walk in the door and they can’t even say we will be with you in a moment. Instead they ignore your existence. Then today went the whole way to Penfield after calling their number which is “suspended”. After waiting to 5-10 minutes to be seated then saying I want to order a salad. They’re out of steak.. so the. I order chicken…. And of course they are out of it too. What happened to making food when people order?
