Sickman's Mill Reviews
Please be aware there are high levels of E. coli in the water there. They informed us after we paid and were already in the water. I am praying my family doesn’t get sick! We were told it’s ‘common knowledge’. If planning a trip there I would call to inquire first!
I came up from Key Largo Florida to Lancaster Pennsylvania to visit my friend and we decided to check out sickman's Mill and go tubing. I was very impressed with the whole staff.. they were very friendly and engaging answered any questions we had and made us feel welcomed. the process was easy and laid back and before you know it you're in the water on a heavyweight durable tube and gently cruising down the Majestic River.
as you navigate your way down the river surrounded...read full review
Dodging a dozen unleash and uncontrolled dogs, getting continually splashed by uncontrolled dogs even after politely asking the owners to please atleast keep them out of our families seating area. also one person in our group had her purse urinated on by a dog running loose to which the owner replied " they're just like kids" WTF!??!? to be clear, I am a dog owner of a boarder collie and an Australian Shepard. Sickman's Mill is a unique spot where customers can relax on sunny afternoons and evenings, even with their dogs. The restaurant offers excellent customer service, going above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. With fast service at the bar and in food delivery, Sickman's Mill is a great place to have fun and enjoy good food. The whole vibe by the creek, along with food, drinks, cornhole, a firepit, and tubing, is awesome, although it can be expensive. Burgers are priced at $14, drinks at $10, and a Jimmy juice slushie is $12. Tubing costs $25, and it is cash only, so customers should bring enough money for tubing, drinks, and food. The tubing experience lasts about 1-2 hours, and there is a small bus that returns customers afterward. It's recommended to go tubing after it rains to avoid getting stuck on rocks. For those with dietary restrictions, there are vegetarian options like Focaccia, sandwiches, and pizza, and French fries are gluten-free. Parking may be challenging when busy, as overflow parking with a shuttle bus is available. The setup is very cool and well run, with buses running nonstop to parking spots and back after the float. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing float down the creek, and the atmosphere is both adult and family friendly. Customers often enjoy their drinks and food after tubing, making it an all-day fun spot. The experience is smooth, with little waiting, perfect for unwinding, eating, and family fun. However, it is cash only, and prices are clear on the website, helping visitors plan ahead. Some guests mention that late arrivals might miss out on food, but they still enjoy the float and look forward to returning for unlimited floats, lunch, and drinks. The only downside noted is when groups float behind, causing noise and disruptions.
