Just stopped in for some Stocks poundcake - now $21 a loaf. It's sooooooo good and worth the price.

Parking: small lot and tight if there's a delivery truck parked there.

We had the truck come to our home to help celebrate our daughter's 2nd birthday and everyone loved the quality and service! It was truly a great experience for everyone! Highly recommend

Awesome place with great ice cream. Staff is kind and courteous. We asked if they had any pup cups, ice cream for dogs, and they didn't but they were able to facilitate our request with a small cup of peanut butter ice cream which we really appreciated. Will always recommend this place to people who are in the area. Open year-round and open late to so it's great after dinner.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed at my last visit on Tuesday afternoon because we had to leave the shop before getting our ice cream. Going in with three kids 12 and under, I thought it would be a family friendly environment but I was surprised to hear a very popular Sabrina Carpenter song that didn’t bleep out extremely inappropriate lyrics. I informed the girl at the counter that we would be leaving because of the inappropriate language being played in the shop. I understand that it was probably a teenager deciding the music that would play inside (and outside!) the building but as a mom, I don’t feel comfortable having my children in an environment with that type of language. I hope management trains their employees or comes up with a different solution for music in the future. We may try the Perkasie location to see if it is more family friendly…

Old schoolhouse turned ice cream parlor. Nice selection of flavors. Outdoor seating but none indoors. The scoopers were eager to help and could get through several customers pretty quickly. Pup cups for the dogs too.

BEST peach ice cream I've ever had!!!
Accidentally stumbled across this place and am so glad I stopped to check it out! The service was fantastic and there were so many flavors of ice cream. They also had different kinds of treats in the shop if you wanted something else...but why wouldn't you get ice cream ??
Find this place if you want tasty, fresh ice cream and excellent service!

One of our favorite ice cream shops. The owners are very active in the community and are always giving back. The portions are incredible and the flavors are fantastic. Our family's favorite is cookie monster. You can tell the quality of the ice cream is there. They also sell an assortment of baked goods and coffee. Parking can be a little tough during busy times but we love this shop!

I live near Ow Wow Creamery in Chalfont. It's been awhile since we went there but we went last weekend and the ice cream was so tasteless and watery, we ended up throwing it away! I am NOT ONE TO WASTE MONEY (esp in this economy!). We went as part of a celebration, and so I was bummed that it really wasn't a celebration and remembered Hickory Stick!
I'd stopped by after passing it a few times for work last year and remembered the ice cream as being excellent (as had Ow Wow when it first opened).
So, we immediately drove to Hickory Stick wondering how it compared and hoping it would be better than the ice cream we literally wasted over 20 bucks on (for two people!).
Well, not only was it FANTASTIC, it was less expensive.
It was so creamy. So flavorful and fun flavors!
I had a cherry vanilla and banana pudding and my daughter had cookie monster.
I loved they were playing Country Music!
The service was great.
The only challenge is the small parking lot - however, the ice cream and service totally cancels out the challenge of the small parking lot.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Really solid ice cream, inventive flavors, good service, and it’s got the old school house charm in rural bucks county. A great place for a summer afternoon scoop

Dietary restrictions: Last I checked there aren’t dairy free ice cream options here

We have been going here since they opened. Recently the owners opened another store and ever since the lack of ownership supervision on site has lead to a lot of inconsistencies. The ice cream is great…it’s quality ice cream. They also do offer a wide variety but the “common” flavors they list on their site as regulars are not regular at all and vary. I have driven 20+ mins to go there, because the ice cream is really that good, only to be disappointed time and time again that my “regular” flavor is not offered that night. I have been told I can always call first but when you do they either don’t answer or make you feel as though you are interrupting their night by calling. The very young staff there (often just 2 high school aged girls) are usually very nice but portions are extremely inconsistent. Not quite Chipotle level but close. The image below is what I got when I purchased an $18 quart. When I got home I pushed the ice cream down and it barely was half the container. For $18?!?! As much as I love the ice cream I just don’t think I can support this store any more.

You will likely enjoy your dessert when you go your first time. If you go back for a second trip or more though don’t expect the same experience as the first time

This is a nice ice cream spot off the beaten path. Awesome selection of flavors and styles of ice cream. And it’s a real cool building! Their food options looked great (breakfast sandwiches on huge NY bagels). But we were there for the ice cream, and we weren’t disappointed. Hey, it’s not cheap, but it’s quality ice cream and privately owned, so it’s worth it. Parking is a bit tight and seating outside was pretty limited when we were there. But no complaints here. If we’re ever out this way again, we’ll be back!
