We used to love coming here the food is great. Our company would buy lunch for our employees. Since you no longer do takeout we have taken our business elsewhere. Last week I tried to order in person at the perk for ten employees only to be ignored by the bartender for over 15 min to place my order and to pick up my order. There is no parking dedicated to the perk so you also have to find parking on the narrow side streets that are packed with snow making it impossible. If your looking for good take out check out jt bankers they are always efficient and fast.

This is a local hangout for the neighborhood, very inviting bit can be loud depending on any special functions (the I went there was something going on related to the local high school and was extremely noisy). Food was amazing and will be back for future visits.

I moved to the area in 2023 and whenever I want to go out to eat, I ask my husband to go here. The Perk is the most consistent restaurant I’ve ever been to and has the friendliest staff. Everyone is helpful and polite. They are always packed but well worth the wait. We eat here at least 1-2 times a month if not more. If you need a new spot you can count on, The Perk is it.

My first time coming here, but I felt like a regular. Everyone was so friendly. The building, decor, and atmosphere was spectacular. The parking can be a bit of a pain, but they have a second lot across the street which is where I parked and I really really appreciated that. I got the fish and chips and they were the best I've had in at least five years. A very generous portion as well, very light, and the fish they used was incredible. Service was incredible; seated quickly, the waitress was refilling our drinks before we even had a chance to ask, and everyone was so courteous and kind. I'm moving closer to this place soon and I think I just found my new weekend hang. If I could give this six out of five stars I would. Even if you're just passing through, stop on in for a quick bite.
My Mother-in-law, my partner, my two kids, and I ate at The Perk last night for dinner. It was a difficult and emotional night for us because we drove a distance to come say goodbye to a loved one in hospice care. Because we were scattered, we forgot to bring along my son's headphones. He is autistic and has a difficult time in loud spaces. We went out to eat late, and as it was a Monday we were hoping things would be quiet. It was loud actually! Very busy! My son held his hands over his ears the moment we stepped foot inside. I think we mentioned it to our waitress with no expectation of help -- it was completely our fault for forgetting to bring along his headphones to block the sound.
A manager appeared and had a set of headphones to share with him for the meal. She was so kind - our waitress was fantastic, and the food was delicious.
On a difficult night, it was so, so nice to be treated so warmly and well. Thank you so very much. My son is already talking about planning to come back, even though we live 1.5 hours away.

The food and beverages are always good. My favorite cocktail is the lemon drop martini. I have yet to be disappointed. The place is always busy which is a good thing because it means people love the place. The downside is that is is loud. With the open space and hardwood floors for some reason make it so much louder than other places. I wouldn't let that hinder anyone's decision just be mindful that if of you are wanting a quiet atmosphere this may not be the place to go but if you don't mind it being loud than you will be ok.
