I take beer just about as seriously as it's practical to do so, maybe even more. It's my hobby, my passion, and my career. Van Lieus is the real deal. Yes, it's a cool vibe as far as the building and quaint town is concerned, but the beer is the star of the show at this spot. I only had the opportunity to scope out the lagers on this short visit and I plan for a return to hit the hoppy options, but if a brewer can land the subtle flavors of a Helles and Czech Pils and have them shine brilliantly in the glass, that's about all I need to know. There are a LOT of breweries to choose from, but if you actually want to learn what well brewed classic styles are supposed to taste like, stop looking.

Came for Perktoberfest and started at Free Will at 2pm and they were out of advertised mugs, BUT honored $5 Oktoberfest beers. Came to Van Lieus at 3:45 and they were also out of mugs and REFUSED to honor the advertised $5 Oktoberfest beer. Needless to say I moved on to Mystic Ways where they also honored the advertised $5 Oktoberfest beers. Was already on the fence about this place and will not be returning!!! A friend did order the Oktoberfest beer from Van Lieus before we were told they would not honor the advertised price and said it was TERRIBLE and not worth the wait and HORRIBLE service!

Talk about cool people and a cool environment. Van Lieu's has delicious IPAs, some lagers, pilsners, and even stouts. There is a great selection for everyone and it has free parking! You will find it located directly in the middle of three great breweries in downtown Perkasie. This brewery is a gem hidden in a cute little town. We will absolutely be back. If you visit, try the Hop Lobster hazy IPA.

Super cool little brewery in Perkasie. Great beers in a nice clean environment. Rachel was awesome. Very welcoming and friendly. Took time to chat with us and tell us about the establishment. She made us feel welcome from the time we walked in the door. Great beers as well.

Of the three breweries in the area, this was by far the most solid in terms of flavor!! I got a flight of four different styles and the owner/ brewer came over with a complimentary pour of Doug, an ESB named after his corgi!! ( Turned out to be my fav of the day ..) Service was fast, even with a large crowd. Plenty of seating inside and out, and food truck on site. (Pizza place across the street as well.) If you're in Perkasie, make sure to try all three breweries, but plan to spend some time here!!!
