Posting this at 7:32pm. Back in my car. Hours are posted as 8pm closing. They turned off the "open" sign as we and another couple were pulling in. Called, excuse was no customers for the last hour. I'll take my money elsewhere after driving 30 minutes to be shunned away on a Saturday night.

On July 28th, I had the pleasure of dining at the National Pillow Hotel in Pillow, Pennsylvania, and it was an experience worth every mile of the 159 mile drive (one way) from my home in Virginia. The occasion was a surprise 80th birthday celebration for my sister, and the restaurant exceeded all expectations, making it a truly memorable day.
From the moment we arrived, the staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality. They had everything impeccably set up for our celebration, ensuring that each couple in our party received their own check without any hassle—a level of service that's often overlooked in group settings. The food was served promptly, and every dish was a testament to the chef's expertise.
A special mention must go to the crab cakes, which were nothing short of divine. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, they stood out as the highlight of the meal. The restaurant also graciously allowed us to bring our own birthday cake for my sister, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
The ambiance was elegant yet comfortable, making it the perfect setting for such a special occasion. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
In short, the restaurant at the Pillow Hotel is a gem. Whether you're planning a special event or just looking for an excellent dining experience, I cannot recommend it enough. It was a day to remember, thanks to the outstanding food, service, and atmosphere.
Wheelchair accessibility: Really does need wheelchair accessibility.
This is the only negative about this restaurant.

I love coming here. The food is great. The service is incredible it feels like you are with family. A little expensive that's the only thing I didn't like. They have Alcoholic drinks and their dessert so amazing. If you want to just get a drink and dessert great place. Tell them Maia sent you

This building is a historic place. That is awesome, but the Historical Society of Pillow need to realize that disabled and handicap patrons like to eat also. But when you are on a walker/wheelchair they don't climb stairs very well. I was very disappointed when I arrived at this establishment to eat and could not find a ramp for the elderly, disabled people. What a shame. This place needs to be boycotted. I guess I could have crawled up the steps into the business, but I am not going to embarrass myself to that level. Shame on you HSP.
Friendly, fast, good food at a reasonable price.
Absolutely loved the atmosphere, food and the service was great!
