The Red Lion was my go-to restaurant for years. Was there yesterday to learn that they no longer have BOWLS for my favorite onion soup. Just cup size. I needed a substitute to fill my hunger I chose the toasted hoagie and did not eat it all. The bill came to $28 dollars without tip. Only one waitress who is very nice. However, I plan to not go there again. Times they are a changing.

I had an amazing experience at Red Lion Café. The customer service was excellent and very attentive. They had a great variety of food options, and every one of my six family members found something they enjoyed. I ordered the cheeseburger served on a glazed sticky bun — something I’ve never tried before — and it was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Truly unique and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place!

I drove an hour for dinner at Red Lion Cafe and Restaurant in Pine Grove, PA, and it was absolutely worth it! I had the Windy City Cheesesteak with hand-cut fries, and my daughter enjoyed the Steakhouse Mac and Cheese Skillet — both were delicious. I loved the cheesesteak so much I even took another one home to share! I tried the Pumpkin Patch Apple Jack, which had amazing fall flavor, and they even made a virgin version for my daughter that she loved. For dessert, we shared the Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and Coconut Cream Cake — both were excellent. Great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

I had the Steakhouse Mac and Cheese Skillet and a Windy City Cheese Steak with perfectly crispy hand-cut fries. To drink, I enjoyed the Pumpkin Patch Apple Jack—incredible flavor! They even made a virgin version for my daughter, which she loved. For dessert, we shared a slice of Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and a Coconut Cream Cake—both were outstanding. Highly recommend this spot for great food and warm hospitality!

Today our extended family gathered to celebrate the memory of our grandparents, and we chose the Red Lion Café. Our group of 23, including several children, came together from all over the country, and the restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating. Melissa, our server, was truly incredible. She managed our entire group on her own with patience, grace, and a genuine smile the whole time. With so many great menu choices, we took our time deciding, but she never rushed us. She made sure every order was just right and every special request was honored.
The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and the atmosphere welcoming and full of warmth. Thank you, Melissa, and the entire Red Lion Café team, for helping turn a day of remembrance into a day filled with joy and connection.
Food was delicious. Service was great even though there was only one waitress for 6-8 tables at the time I was there. Prices were decent. Do provide military discount. Definitely have the hottest greeter that gives the greatest hugs.
