Everything was great except a party at the bar that was extremely loud, making it difficult for my wife and I to hear our own conversation. Why do people have to shout to each other across the bar?

Went for the lobster specials. I got the whole lobster. It was ok, not great for $40. Came with two vegetables. Wife got the surf n turf, turf was really salty, no sauce and came with only a 4oz tail for $50. Got four drinks for $70 plus tip. Price was just for drinks in bar area. Drinks were way over priced. Ambience was good. Sat in garden room for dinner. Service was ok. Nothing overly friendly. I wouldn't go back for the special. Regular menu seems to be a lot better but with price of drinks I'll think twice. Told them it was a birthday event when I booked. Nobody said anything or offered a dessert.

He had the opportunity to sit in the lovely garden part of the tavern. The food was delicious. I had a steak and the delicious French onion soup. My husband really enjoyed his corn chowder. Even my granddaughter enjoyed the cheesesteak, eggrolls, and she got fish and chips. We left the restaurant full and completed our experience with the valet parking. Thank you Matthew for your service you were top-notch.

We went for Tuesday Lobster night. The lobsters were cooked perfectly and the side dishes, especially the creamed spinach were excellent. The salad was very fresh. Can't beat the price at $39.95. We sat in the garden room and it was lovely.

It was a wonderful last minute date night for my wife and I. Service was wonderful as usual and the food excellent as usual. We sat in the garden area, and it was nice to be able to have a conversation without having to raise our voices. We love this place.

We love the “garden room”. The service was spot on and food was very good. We'll be back soon.

Service was excellent. Food was good as it usually is. Relaxed atmosphere for a good night out with friends. We go here often.

Very nice experience. We live very close to the Pineville Tavern and always forget that it's so nice and convenient. We'll be going more often

Not very nice way to say, I’m sorry but we are closed.

The Pineville is a fabulous restaurant and has been around for years! The outdoor (greenhouse room) is gorgeous and inside is incredible. You can feel the history!
My last visit was somewhat disappointing. The waitress seemed annoyed to be there and never told us her name.
And then there was some sort of employee/manager altercation in the back that we could hear in the dining area.
A man was screaming at someone to “leave then and go the F home”

As a more upper end establishment I was disappointed as I had friends with me that were dining for the first time. I had raved about the place so it was awkward to have all of that going on.

Absolutely will be back here! The food was excellent. We sat in the Garden Room and it was beautiful. Our server was really good, and this is despite them being slammed on a Saturday night. Good service is so hard to come by any more and we were really impressed. My only note is that the apps were HUGE and we actually had to cancel our entree. So I would ask about portions first. Make sure you try their truffle fries!

Delicious food, great historical atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Steve, our waiter, was wonderful and went above and beyond for us. We will be back!

For a relatively expensive restaurant the service was sub par. There were many young kids running food all dressed differently. One was even in gym shorts. But mainly, our table felt forgotten and our waitress was running around obviously handling too much at once. The food was good, but our French onion soup came out way after our main course.
