I tried Shandra’s Pizza today for the first time. I’m not from NEPA but occasionally end up in the area for work. A quick google search for pan fried Sicilian pizza sent me to Shandra’s. I had no idea that more often than not, your best bet is to call and schedule your order hours ahead of time. We moved back to the area after living near Philly for 22 years and we Really missed the pizza in NEPA. There are a handful of gems but this pizza is one of the absolute best! Thank you for the kind and friendly service. Makes me so happy to be back.
Don't take this as negative but remember decades ago when Pizza Hut was a decent place to go to? Their pan pizzas were actually edible? This is kinda like that but tons better and fresher. They use peanut oil and the result is a crispy bottom with a nice sauce and cheese (and the topping of your choice) on top. They ask you if you want onions and I would recommend that you do so. They aren't a topping but chopped into the sauce.
