Walking into Roy Rogers with an appetite is like entering a battlefield with plastic armor. If I’d hoped for the crisp, flavorful chicken that the brand once promised, I was swiftly disappointed, blindsided by a lackluster heap of lukewarm poultry. The chicken’s texture could have bested cardboard for chewiness, and it carried all the charm of a soggy napkin, both in flavor and presentation. This was less "Golden Fried Chicken" and more “Bland Baked Sadness.”
Now, onto the service: imagine the warmth of a Canadian winter mixed with the enthusiasm of a teenager forced to attend a philosophy lecture on Sunday morning. The staff seemed trained in the art of indifference, as if politeness and customer service were beneath them. I approached the counter like someone stepping up to request a loan from a particularly stingy banker—perhaps they were conserving kindness for future patrons, or, more likely, they simply had none to spare.
In summary, Roy Rogers here felt like a stale vestige of fast-food glory days long past. This restaurant’s ethos, it seems, is to serve as a culinary reminder that lowered expectations are, indeed, necessary in life. Would I return? Only if I wanted to experience a study in disappointment firsthand.

Just horrible. Get me out. It’s really just a health risk. There was literally no other option at the time that I was there and this was so unfortunate. There was literally a fly on my food as she handed it to me. I hated this so much.

The supervisor Tracy Spocito is very rude. I didn't even order. Instead I grabbed snacks from 7eleven.

Seriously LONG wait to get our food. Sooooo insanely long!! If we hadn't already paid for our food we would have left. There was one person that had already ordered in front of us waiting. That's it!!! Once we finally got our food, stupid me for not looking in the bag. They forgot part of our order that was paid for. Really sucks because you can't just turn around and go back when you're on the turnpike.
Ironically, when we got to our destination, our family had also stopped there a couple days before and told us how crazy long the wait for food was for them. Definitely not worth it and won't make that mistake again. And the lady behind the counter acted like she was super annoyed every time a customer came up.

The food was good but it took a long time to get service and I really didn't like that they didn't have somebody attending the salad bar if that's what you want to call it and your prices were very high

OK, it's fast food at rest stop on the Pennsy but it took us 20 minutes to get our food. Too slow.

The food was hot and ready. The toppings bar was clean and stocked. We stopped by here on our vacation, and we were not disappointed. Very clean area and friendly employees.
