The service here is awful. It’s a terrible set up. You have to pay at the counter prior to being served. Then it takes 2 hours to get your food. Had to leave and get our money back. Don’t be fooled by the other reviews. We have been there before and similar experience and thought to give it another chance. The food is just ok. Not worth the atmosphere it’s being served in. The waitress was coming out of the kitchen asking every person sitting down if they ordered what she had in her hand. That’s why they give out numbers. Do not waste your time here.

I won a gift card, so while I had to take my mom to Geisinger, I decided to order from the cafe for the first time! Service on the phone was great!

Lunch special was not good. Fish sandwich with pickle, potato chips and cucumber salad.
Beef vegetable soup tasted like it was from a can. Mens bathroom without hand soap. Employees must wash hands sign. Not effective without soap.

Ordered inside, sat outside in the fresh air, and our waitress brought our order out in a timely manner. Food was great and service was also great! Love, love, love this Cafe. (my 1st time there)

A + service and food. The fresh unsweetened tea was delicious. I had three. My salad was stellar. We were a party of six and everyone enjoyed their food. The chocolate chip cookies were recommended and We know why!!! I will return for another one of these salads.

I'd like to commend The Cafe for all their efforts in accommodating a short notice, post funeral, lunch for our family and friends during the busy Easter holiday. Jeff and his team were welcoming, friendly and supportive. They made it easy to organize, they accommodated a few special dietary requests without question and all food was delicious and reasonably priced. The room had a separate entrance from the main restaurant with a designated restroom for guests. I could not be happier with the service and kindness provided by everyone.

This was without question, the worst burger I’ve ever had from a restaurant.

Overcooked with zero seasoning, sloppy and loaded with mayo. So much mayo that the dry Kaiser roll just falls apart.

The burger had this weird thing going on where it also fell apart in segments. Probably because the patty wasn’t formed well and was overcooked. The patty itself was SO small. For the price I’d expect a much bigger patty. I don’t know I guess that’s why they load it with all the other junk and a huge roll to hide the patty.

The bacon was just mediocre, it may have been crispy at one point but if it was then all the mayo made it kind of gummy. Still, probably the “best” element of this burger.

The lettuce was a little brown, the rest was yellow and somehow not crunchy even though there was so much of it. They literally just chopped a wedge of lettuce and stuck it on there, didn’t even spread it out.

The tomato slices I got were the tiny ends of the tomato and were mostly skin. Yum.

The whole thing was just a disaster. A cheeseburger from McDonald’s is better than this. If a restaurant can’t even do a “deluxe” burger correctly then I’m not even going to bother with anything else on the menu I’ll just go somewhere else.

The menu on their site said the burger is $10 but order online and it’s $12.50, nice. And why not just include fries for that price. What a ripoff, you give a meager amount of loose potato chips instead with a couple (2) of pickle slices which surprise, combined with the steam of the burger in a takeout container it makes the chips soggy.

Never again. Complete waste of money. Wish I took a picture but I tossed it and went somewhere else for lunch.

Ordered a mesquite burger medium done. The avocado is hard and nowhere near ripe, little to no seasoning on the patty and is dry and well done. For a $13 burger, I am very disappointed. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but wouldn't recommend their burgers
