I understand being busy, I understand making mistakes, and I understand a miscommunication but I do not understand why business think it’s on theirs or their customers best interest to not fix the issue. The environment is great, we love the outdoor seating but when we ordered our food the guy was super nice taking our order, at the top right it says Mac and cheese which I ordered for my 1 yo but our food came out and they gave us Mac and cheese bites and I took 1 bite and took it back to the window and said i ordered Mac and cheese and not the bites they said that they didn’t have it and I said okay can I just have a ham and cheese sandwich instead which was actually cheaper and he told me the total and I just asked if it could be replaced for the Mac and cheese bevahse my daughter wouldn’t eat it and he just said okay and walked away and they gave us the sandwich instead I thought we were still waiting for our taco salad, about 15 minutes go by and I ask my hunny to go check on the salad, he said the guy said okay and my hunny walked back to our table, wait again about another 15 minutes as multiple other food orders come out I went back up to the window and said I underStand you guys are busy so no rush I just want to make sure it’s coming because with the total I thought I had paid for it. I asked why he didn’t tell him they didn’t have it and she said because he walked away but she could have had the courtesy to open the door a little and tell him they didn’t have it instead of making us wait. We got a pizza burger meal, 3 drinks and 2 fried apps the Mac and cheese and I thought the taco salad the total came to 34 dollars. She said the ticket didn’t have it on there and asked if she was sure because of the total I had it didn’t seem right and I said I’m going to add up the total and she said you go right ahead, well she got upset and slammed the window and walked away. I was already full enough and didn’t have time to wait any longer and didn’t like the attitude so I just figured we’d get our cream any ways. If you’re not going to fix what you messed up you need to take precautions like not false advertising, and then read the order back so you know you took the order properly. The food wasn’t horrible but it’s not great either, it’s just something to get you by so there is a very small chance with my experience that I will go out of my way to go back there again, and that’s how you lose business. Sometimes you have to lose to gain. And if you’re busy, you need to learn to work in a fast paced environment if it’s not for you make sure you’re properly staffed and knowledgeable. The girl at the ice cream window was knowledgeable and pleasant.

Ice cream is always delicious, however, it melts way too quickly. I spoke with a few friends about it and they also experienced their ice cream melting too quickly. It wasn't even that hot of a day. But other than that one of my favorite places to stop on my way back home.

Yummy ice cream! We got a waffle bowls. I had orange pineapple and my wife had chocolate. We're staying at Blue Knob State Park for the week and it's just a short drive.

I searched Google Maps for places to stop to let my kids stretch their legs on a road trip from WV to ME and back.
I did a specific search for ice cream places along this stretch of the trip and came across this place.
I chose it because not only was it one of the only ice cream shops open on the day and time that we were driving through, but they also offered lunch items. Their menu also looked yummy from what I saw on Google Maps.

We were not disappointed. We had salads and then ice cream, and everything was delicious.
It did end up being kind of out of the way a bit. It wasn't a straight shot off of the highway, but it was a pleasant little drive. All in all, a good experience! Thank you!

Great place for grill style lunch. Lots of blue plate specials to choose from. Then treat your self to some excellent icecream.
Lots of covered seating available.

Amazing little place with great food. Best French fries around. The prices have skyrocketed in the past few years, but what hasn't? The Blue Plate Specials are still decent prices.
