Look its a dive bar with excellent bartenders. Enter at you own risk but you won't be disappointed ?.

I am the traveler. The Black Horse is a local watering hole. Clientele is very diverse and changes through the day. Very busy for sport games and very good pool players, which is perfect if you want a respectable game. The food is very good and cooked to order. And you the pricing is great. The bathroom is clean. While I’ve been here it is an older crowd, and everyone has been great. I would return.

Typical neighborhood bar. Safe. The wings were good. Pool tables and jukebox. No young people which was good that nite. Good watering hole.

One of the last great bastions for second shifters to have a meal and a drink. I come in about 2x a month on my way home from work and Wednesday-Saturday they have a great menu till about 12pm

Cool place but the karaoke dj needs to stop wasting time when they've got singers waiting

This is the best place bar tenders we're so friendly and funny....the locals were great and everyone made you feel like you belonged....we ate there all week that we were here and there was not one and thing that came out of the kitchen....can't wait for our next visit to PA you know we will be hanging out there again....

Had the caprese grilled cheese which was amazing! Bartender was attentive too. Quick bike ride from the Skuylkill river trail.

Reservations were made for a small group and when some of them showed up,they didn't have the reservation and the place is nothing like their website pics.

Friday karaoke is so much fun, it's like a big party!

The Black Horse Tavern is a lovely, neighbourhood pub that I genuinely adore. Large beer selection, affordable rates, and tasty meals. On the pool tables, there was fierce competition. The female bartenders are all genuine sweethearts, but Brie stands out because she greets you with a handshake that is both firm and friendly. I don't work there, I simply live nearby, but I can testify for these bartenders that you will have a fantastic time, won't get taken advantage of, and won't regret visiting.

I try to keep it positive when giving reviews, but there is something that needs to be said. When I go to the blackhorse tavern in Plymouth Meeting and Michelle is not the bartender, the drinks aren't as smooth, the jukebox isn't rockin, and the customers notice the difference. These are not just the ramblings of a man who couldn't get his whiskey fast enough. This is a cautionary tale for any thirsty person seeking prompt service, genuine conversation, and a true master of her craft. This isn't a review of the bartender I had today. It is a review for the bartender I wish I had. If only every day was Monday......
