Hubby and I just stopped by for a plate of brisket nachos and 1 cocktail (hubby doesn’t drink alcohol). No pricing on the menu, but ordered a Paloma. Went to pay the bill and it was FORTY-SIX DOLLARS!! For nachos and a cocktail! We’ve traveled all over and have never been the victim of such blind price gauging. Never would’ve expected that from such a dive bar style place, our fault for not asking, but I have to admit I rarely ask the price of a simple cocktail at a bar. So sad to end our first time trip to this cool town on this note. Seems like such a sneaky tactic to earn a few (bunch) of extra dollars. Will never come back to this place I’m so surprised they did this. :(
Great atmosphere, great bartenders!! Nice place to be.
This was the worst meal my husband has had in a long while. The lukewarm, not flavorful brisket was slopped on a cold bun straight from the bag and a handful of Lay's tossed next to them and for that we were charged $15? My brisket tacos were better. Being grilled and cheesy took it up a bit. For that I'll elevate this from Terrible to Poor. The bartender seemed overwhelmed on a slow Monday but she was gracious and doing her best. So thank you for that! There are not a lot of options in Marfa on a Monday but the gas station tacos would've been better,
Awesome place service was excellent and pete the owner is forever an amazing guy
Yeah, def got sticker shock at the $91 tab + tip. We had 2 beers, 2 whiskies, two plates of tacos, and chips and quac. Could have spent a little more and had much better food elsewhere. BUT! It’s what’s available after 9. Grab a beer, sure, but for food, def pass on this spot, it’s not worth the money.
A very nice place to go to people were very friendly it was clean everybody was very nice to you
Dark as a cave. Looks like a good place to see a bar fight. Did not stay for the food. Not sure how it gets #3 rating in Marfa, maybe it’s the music later in the evening??
Great place for a drink with friends!

Bartender was very friendly. I would visit again.
I loved The Lost Horse. I thought it was one of my favorite bars. But the new owner has done nothing to improve the bar. They've added over priced, mediocre food. The drinks are twice what they should cost. The bartenders are unpleasant. The flied are plentiful. Under new leadership, this went from my favorite bar to one of the least pleasant. Avoid.
Oh boy, the food menu looked good, but it was terribly expensive and the food was awful! 14.00 hamburger, just burger and old potatoe chips, that's it! The nachos were stale, small and tasteless at 16.00. Please don't make the same mistake and eat here. It may be a cool place to have a beer at night, but stay away from the food! Regrettable lunch, yuk! Oh, and the service is horrible.
Visited on a Sunday evening. Your options are limited on a Sunday night, so we ended up eating at the bar. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good, but a little pricey for you got. Try the brisket Mac and cheese.
Liked the new food. Too bad it's smoking. Went early to miss the smoking crowd.
