(I wrote this in a private Facebook group first) So, as most of you know, I was going to review the old Amadeos pizzeria, which is now Pocono Pines pizzeria and restaurant. Well, here's my experience. (Aside from this experience, I did go once before just for a slice; wasn't that amused with the staff, but the pizza was decent.) Me: Hello, can I place an order for pickup? Clerk: Sure, what would you like? Me: I'd like a large half pepperoni and cheese, and a large vodka sauce pizza. Clerk: Okay, that will be $43. It will be ready in 20 minutes. Me: Okay, see you soon. I walk into the restaurant. Me: Hello, I ordered the 2 pies. Clerk: Okay, that will be $43. Are you paying with cash or card? Me: Card. Clerk: Okay, here is your receipt. The pizza will be right out. Me: (stands around for another 10 minutes) Clerk: Here's your pizza. Have a good day. Me: Thank you. As I walk away with the pizza, I'm thinking to myself that they are very heavy. I walk to the car and open them up, and what was supposed to be the vodka sauce pizza was a white vodka sauce with fried chicken and penne pasta. So, I head back in to get this fixed. Me: Hello, this isn't what I ordered. There's chicken and penne on this pizza; I just wanted a vodka sauce pizza. Clerk: Okay, sorry about that. I'll see what they can do about this. Me: Thank you so much. Now, here's where it gets interesting. Clerk: Do you want them to just pick the chicken and pasta off the pizza? Me: Um, no. That would completely butcher the pizza . Clerk: Okay, um, do you want a new pizza? Me: No, it's okay. I'll just take a refund. Clerk: Okay, let me talk to the manager. Manger says he can't give you a refund. Me: yes he has to or I will be calling my bank and making this a fraudulent charge. Clerk:I'll be right back Manager: I CAN'T GIVE YOU A REFUND. THAT'S $24 THAT I HAVE TO GIVE YOU. EVERYONE IS MAKING $24, AND NOW I HAVE TO GIVE YOU MONEY. HOW DID YOU PLACE THE ORDER, PHONE OR ONLINE? Me: Over the phone, and yes, you owe me $24 because that is not what I ordered, and I'm not walking away with the pizza. I want a refund. Manager: (huffs, yells at the clerk, and tells her that she put the order in wrong) Tells her to refund me. Clerk: Here is your refund. Would you like a receipt? Me: Oh yes, indeed. I come home with just the one half pepperoni and cheese. It's a thicker pizza than the slice I had one month prior. The bread was doughy, and the cheese was meh. There was a little bit of good flavor in the sauce though. Curious to know what kind of ingredients they are using since they can't afford to give me a refund and questioning the freshness of those ingredients. It's safe to say, I don't need to go back there and I'll keep my business with AJs.

First time ordering at this location the food looked absolutely great when received. Service when calling and ordering was great when picked up employee were great. The downfall for me was the actual food though. The upside down Sicilian was great just a bit too over cooked for my liking but flavor and sauce was great. Garlic knots to me were the worst part of the order had little to no flavor and just absolutely fell flat. The Chicago deep dish was very good and the sausage in the pizza was also great. The biggest let down for me was the smores dessert pizza it looked spectacular but whatever they use for chocolate ruins the taste of the pizza. Place has potential to be great will try again in a few months and see if time will fix the ingredient quality issues all and all not awful but by far not the best choice for pizza in the area as they sit right now.

Been coming here fur years pizza is delicious subs are delicious desserts homemade macaroni salad and cheesesteaks and the Rueben sandwich all which I had are always delicious and always great food and service and the Sicilian pizza is also delicious

The buffalo chicken calzone is amazing. Never had one before I saw it on the menu. It’s my go to now.

We ordered take-out and were pleasantly surprised as the pizza was absolutely delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. We aren't from the area so it was nice to enjoy good pizza while on vacation in the poconos! Thank you again! Highly recommend ?

We ordered Pizza on a rainy day and it was perfect!Plenty of cheese and the sauce was excellent. The crust was great, too. We called right after opening and we picked our order up right on time ( 20-25 minutes, even a touch early.) Very friendly staff. We will order again!
Food is great. But service is a real problem. The owner is trying and is apologizes each time. If you order online and it states 20-25 mins double it.

Hello all, just wanted to make a Post that I'm no longer at Pocono pizza pines pizzeria formerly amadeos. I have discovered really bad health conditions such as mice droppings and alive rodents in the kitchen. Some of the pasta boxes have been chewed up and the owner doesn't seem to care. I have brought to his attention and is unfazed. If you want to continue eating here it's your choice but after finding mice droppings and looking at how the staff touched money then went right to food. The cooks go from smoking cigarettes to touching the pizza dough. And he blows into the dough to get below it. I walked out after seeing the disgust. The owner is so focused just on making $$ and not worried about quality. It's sad to post this but the owner does not care or seem to care. Sorry for the past deliveries that were cold and not delivered. Being the only solo delivery guy it's hard, I'm working in a new restaurant in mount Pocono that delivers and would be willing to deliver to arrowhead. You would just need to ask for Michael. Other than that I have a photo of the mice dropping in pasta then the owner threw away the evidence. Just want to bring this to the public's attention. If you don't know the sign still says Amadeos Pizza & Deli and the owner is always crying broke. The lake Naomi president came in a week ago and told the owner that the prices don't match the menus. And he said "go elsewhere". Sad to see such a new business go downhill fast.

I ordered through Slice and my food showed up 2 hours after it was supposed to. I ordered at 5:10; my food was scheduled to be delivered at 5:59. My food showed up after 8PM and was left because I was out trying to find something else for dinner. I actually went to the restaurant and other customers were waiting who ordered over an hour before me. I was told my online order might not have even been accepted by someone working at the restaurant. When I called the restaurant, I was placed on hold and ignored. It’s sad my experience was so crappy because the food was pretty decent. I think if they had more staff they might be able to turn it around.
