A beautiful Chinese restaurant in the Prospect Park area. It’s nicely colored and decorated inside giving it an authentic atmosphere. The food is really good too, very tasty and fresh quality. I tried it for the first time this year and was genuinely pleased.

We've been going to da Chen for 30+ years. The food is always hot, fresh and if we are getting it delivered fast. We obviously love the way the food is prepared since we keep going back and have for that many years! They are always very friendly when taking an order.

I ordered the shrimp with broccoli and the vegetable egg foo yung. Let’s start with the worst item. The egg foo yung.. the egg was thin and old tasting(in other words it wasn’t fresh).. I’ve never had egg foo yung where the sauce was made thin like water.. and it had an odd taste. Not like any other egg foo young that I’ve had from many other good Chinese restaurants. I wined up throwing it away after tasting. The shrimp with broccoli.. well the shrimp were mushy and this sauce was also, thin like water. I won’t be going back again. I’ll drive 45 min away from my house to this high quality authentic Chinese cuisine restaurant who never disappoints.

In my opinion, the best Chinese food in in delco. The food taste fresh. The menu also has more to choose from than the typical takeout. They are my go-to even if I paid like 10 others on my way there. My favorite picks are shrimp toast, wonton soup, and sesame tofu. But it's all good. The service is great and everyone is nice. I have never dined on but one day I would like too.

The takeout experience with the wonton soup and chicken with broccoli was a delight! The wonton soup had so many flavors, and the chicken with broccoli maintained its deliciousness even as takeout. Overall, a fantastic culinary experience!

Didn't know they close at 10pm when I had called at around 9:40/9:43pm at order take out. Gave my order, she said "20/25 mins" which would be after they would be locking up for the night, but they went ahead & made our food, (& it was delicious btw) while waiting on me to get there. I walk in about 10:02/10:05 & seeing the hours of business posted on the door the 1st thing that comes flying outta my mouth is "I'm so sorry, I didn't know what time you guys close, if I knew I wouldn't have called." The lady looked right at me & started laughing & said "It's really no problem & they stop talking take out orders at 9:45pm, you just made it" {Very nice lady}
I get take out from Da Chen at least once a week. Their lunch specials are a great value for the amount of food and the food tastes good.

My son loves their food & it looks nice inside. But when you walk through the door it smells like a million rodents died in there. I can't eat from a place that smells that bad, must be why my ex loves it. Oh and the prices on the menu are NOT the food prices they are about $5 higher then stated on menu. So ask before you order or you'll do like I did and pay $28 extra for 2 products.
