This restaurant was formerly known as the Trieste. Now with new owners and a new menu. Not impressed at all. The whole experience was fair at best.

This place is a joke, they serve poor quality food and when you refuse it they still make you pay for it. That’s robbery because you pay for a service and if the food just isn’t done right why should we the people be forced to eat and pay for it. If you plan on going here god rest your soul.

We met for a business dinner. We had a large party. Our waitress was attentive and fantastic. Food is really good and everything was prompt. More people should know about this place.Good value and a neighborhood gem

Very good pasta, chicken, veal, and never had a steak here. But I got the steak gorgonzola bites as an app, and the pieces of steak were done perfectly, super tender.
The food was all fresh and delicious. I wore a hat and took it off to the chef. The crab and shrimp risotto was top-notch. Interior needs a refresher.

This review is about my take-out order from this past Friday (June 2nd). This is also posted on their Facebook page. I ordered the roasted brussel sprouts and the gnocchi with shrimp. I got it home and opened it. The brussel sprouts were overdone. The gnocchi was in an Alfredo sauce and it SHOULD have been in a blush sauce. But I figured oh well, I'll eat it anyway. So yesterday I took the food out of my fridge and when I opened the gnocchi container I discovered that the sauce had completely deteriorated - for lack of a better word. The gnocchi was completely DRY - no sauce whatsoever. I can't say the food didn't have good taste - both items were still tasty. This take-out order cost me $38.00 and I did tip in cash. I will probably not return there for quite a while. Maybe the cook had an "off" night; maybe the cook is brand new - if this is the case he needs serious coaching and training.

First time at Lamensa & the food was fantastic. The entire staff was very pleasant. Our waitress was Debbie and she was awesome. I'm not that fond of wedding soup but after she told us how good it was my son & I ordered it and she wasn't kidding. The appetizers were good (stuffed mushrooms & garlic parm shrimp). My son had ribeye steak with broccoli & Yukon gold potatoes, I had seafood Alfredo (shrimp, scallops and lump crab meat) to die for. We will be returning customers and letting family & friends know about our experience. Great job Lamensa!
Compliments to ou waitress, Maria. Pleasant, friendly and good service, in spite of the order mixup which was quickly and graciously corrected. However, with the exception of the homemade Italian Wedding Soup, which was thick, rich and perfectly seasoned, there are no compliments for the rest of our meal. Partner had the Calamari appetizer. Ok. Nothing special. Entree was Veal Parm. The Veal was rubbery and the pasta was over cooked and mushy. He commented that he thought it was ramen in a tomato sauce completely devoid of seasoning. I had the mussels for an appetizer and an entree of Gorgonzola Steak Bites. Generous serving of mussels but a lot of unopened or broken ones and the broth was under seasoned. Admit the steak bites were, perfectly cooked at medium rare. However, the pappardelle was undercooked and the sauce sorely in need of seasoning. Even Gorgonzola needs a little help when it’s part of a cream sauce. I’d like to give them another shot but it woul have to be for something other than their Italian offerings. The description of their burgers look good but so did the others. I would definitely do take out of that Italian Wedding Soup.
Went as a group of 10 friends and every meal on the table was FABULOUS ??.Our server Deb was SUPER FABULOUS ?I had Italian wedding soup then Black Linguine with shrimp ? scallops and ? crabmeat. My wife had Shrimp ? and ? crab risotto.Afterwards in the parking lot we talked about when we'd like to return because the portions were quite large and we had no room for dessert ??

I've only eaten there twice now but both times the meal that I had was excellent. Very friendly staff, and quick service.
Amazing food, or server dawn was great . Currently a byo until liquor license is approved. Definitely will be back!
Our waitress is the reason for this review, I mean the food was good but the service was excellent! Salad was fresh, meal was fresh and flavorful. Had the Alfredo chicken with homemade pasta, it was sooo good!
Kid-friendliness: We have a one year old who’s pretty well behaved, but you never know! The waitress made a fuss over him and made us feel welcomed.
Parking: Located around back and across the street and there’s street parking
Food was DELICIOUS! It was our first time and it was dead when we got there but we went early. By the time we were leaving it was packed with people waiting at the door. The pasta was fresh! And it's BYOB

Overpriced frozen food. Ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms for $15 it was all breading and low quality claw meat for 3 mushrooms. Frozen calamari rings you can buy from Acme. Ordered the seafood fantasia, no seasoning, linguine with butter basically, supposed to have lump crab meat, scallops and shrimp in a garlic white wine sauce. 2 disc scallops that were obviously frozen, a pinch of crab meat and rubber shrimp, no garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, crushed red pepper flakes. Waited over a hour for take out. Extremely dissatisfied.
