Los Machetes Authentic Mexican Restaurant location in Prospect Park has very good high quality Mexican food. The staff are very attentive to their customers while dining in and the staff have accurate wait times for food to be ready for togo pick-up. Keep up the good work 👍

What a gem of authentic Mexican food. Great food, great service and reasonably priced. Ate here 4 days in a row. Even took dinner home for the wife to try. She loved as well.
Wish it was closer to home.

Food was good until I found a hair in my food. Then I wanted to throw up! An then I purchased my food, but couldn’t get a drink because I purchased my food separately. They have $10 limit for charging card.

Los Machetes is consistently delicious and keeps us coming back (my kid loves the tamales). We’ve never had a bad meal.
It’s small, family-run authentic Mexican food. They have dine in, but we order take out/pick up which goes well for us (short wait, correct order, staff is friendly).
For parking there are spots you can pull into from the side street (Los Machetes is on a corner) otherwise there is street parking

The food was ok but whats not ok is closing earlier than posted. The night staff stops answering the phones, to avoid orders and clean up so they can go home I have been asked to take my food to go because they are closing early. Last night no answer at 7, I drive there to order and they are there in back cleaning with front lights off. Closed early again and again. Good help hard to find. Owners should work closing so staff stays til close ir change hrs

Recently stopped by Los Machetes Authentic Mexican Restaurant, and let me tell you the birria tacos with consommé were chef’s kiss. Deep, rich, authentic flavor that hits like home cooking straight from the heart of Mexico. You can tell the kitchen knows what they’re doing there.

Now, the shrimp tostadas? Not bad, but definitely room for improvement. The flavor was fresh, but I missed those traditional touches… no lettuce, sour cream, or cotija, just chopped onion, tomato, cilantro, and a sprinkle of Tajín. It looked the part but lacked that layered bite.

Parking’s a bit of a challenge, but once you step inside, it’s cozy and authentically modest nothing flashy, just honest food. Overall, a solid experience with standout tacos that deserve their own spotlight.

Llame para ordenar pero queria saber con qué acompañante y los precios y me engancharon la llamada luego volví a llamar y me dejaron en espera y luego engancharon… creo queria deberían tener amabilidad para antender a los clientes..

The pambazos are AMAZING!! Huge in size and tastes great, the machete was good as well the masa tortilla had a great taste. We ordered out but def will be visiting this place again soon
