“We ordered the most beautiful and delicious cake for our son’s baptism! The cake was absolutely delicious and there wasn’t a slice left! We never have an entire cake go at a party. The fresh strawberry filling was amazing! The price is very affordable! We would recommend Carols to everyone.”

“We had a wonderful time at the Pierogi Festival! There were a few issues, but that is not surprising when an event garners more attention than expected for an area. We were surprised by the massive turnout, but so were the employees! It was wonderful to see so many people supporting a local business though. The homemade pierogis were amazing! Pierogis are not something that can be made in the moment. While they were constantly being cooked and brought out, preparing the thousands of pierogis took weeks, if not months, of preparation. The demand did put a lot of unexpected pressure on the employees. However, I don’t believe anyone could have anticipated how major of an event this turned out to become! This will not deter us from attending next year or any other events. I’m confident this was a learning experience for the business. I anticipate next year to be even bigger and better! Please continue to support this business in the future!”

“A couple of nights ago I was at the restaurant with two other people. Wonderful ambience , exceptional service. I am only giving this one negative comment so that someone would be aware that the kitchen staff needs to be educated to make the dishes match what the menu states. We had an appetizer and each of us ordered a different meal. The others meals were excellent and perfectly done. I ordered the stuffed sweet potato with a special topping and crispy shallots. The skin on the bottom of the baked sweet potato was burned. No big deal I could scrape the potato away from that. The shallots, however, were not even close to crispy. They were soggy, limp and bitter. I was disappointed but did not want to make a fuss In front of my friends. We had tasty cocktails and I repeat excellent service. I will be back and will recommend the Tavern to friends.”

Even though they couldn’t locate my order—and I’m not sure what happened or if it went through online—Turco’s Pizza still went above and beyond on Christmas Eve. While they were already so busy, they took the time to make me a pizza tray anyway, and that kind of kindness and customer service truly means everything. It would’ve been easy to say no, but instead they chose to help, and I am beyond grateful. This is the kind of place that genuinely cares about its customers. “I stopped in at Lena's the other day with a friend and her service dog. Upon entering we were told that no service dogs are aloud due to people having allergies. We went back out to the car feeling frustrated and upset. I went back in and said " I don't believe you are allowed to refuse us service due to having a service dog". Her reply was she was a private business owner and she could refuse anyone she choose to. I would not recommend Lena's due to the disregard for service animal laws..”

“We recently moved to the area in January and my dad, who has been here before, highly recommended this place because we're all huge wing fans. I can honestly say that these are the best wings I've ever had, and I always recommend them to anyone who asks. Although the service can be a bit slow, it's understandable given how busy they are, and it didn't bother us at all. The food and staff are both excellent, and we'll definitely be coming back.🤭”

“Mary’s is my personal favorite among the top three restaurants in New Castle which specialize in Mideastern cuisine. I have always been very pleased with the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, as well as the reasonable pricing….whether dining in or ordering take-out meals.”

“Cedars needs to step up a little. Waiting more than hour for food is ridiculous. Cooks are outside smoking while the dining room is full. I usually go Friday and Saturday. I watch people walk out waitress are frustrated. There is a girl that is there every Friday and Saturday trying to make everything run smoothly. She goes from the bar to the dining room to the kitchen trying to please the customers. The last two month have been crazy here. I don't know if I will be back. Sir, you are losing your in-house customers over the new system. That system won't make up for your lost customers. it's a shame you have a great business Mr. Pagley and you are destroying it.”
