Our dozen crabs may have been steamed fresh, but not anytime close to my order. On a Saturday, we spent $95 on a dozen of tough, dry, stringy meat crabs. Our dozen hush puppies were mediocre at best but they were $13, so they fall to one star as well.
I can honestly say that I have never had a more disappointing time eating crabs, and I was taught to pick crab in 1974…
So sorry to leave this review, but I can’t let others have a similar experience.

Had ayce crabs with not so good crabs being a few bad and mostly light crabs with the cream of crab soup being so thick to only putting out 6 or 8 crabs at a time then waiting on the waitress to bring more . We will probably never come back unless they do better Capt Bob's you can do better than this with your crabs, such a waist of money.

always great steamed crabs with the best hush puppies around
My husband and I arrived for late lunch/early dinner and truly enjoyed the AYCE. Every crab was heavy and delicious. Landon, our server, was excellent. We both agreed that we recommend Captain Bob's and that we will definitely return.

First time here, loved the outside seating area and the music. Crab cakes were $25 each which was fine, but blown away that the hushpuppies were $14 for a small serving and a bowl which was really a cup size, 8oz, of tomato basil crab soup was $14. The soup was delicious but warmish, not hot. The waiter didn't give us utensils, paper towels for napkins, or salt and pepper. We had no napkins the entire meal. We'll probably go again, but no appetizers or soup for that price.

The food was very expensive for what we got and it was nothing special. We were disappointed. The cream of crab soup was excellent but definitely not a whole cup. Skimpy portions except the salad which was mostly lettuce. Not returning.

A fine example of a seafood restaurant/market. Their crab cakes are all lump crabmeat, and the waitresses are easy on your eyes.

Wife is a hard shell crab lover...and I dig shellfish! We could have went to a dozen places between York County and Northern MD. But had a tough time finding crabs, oysters, clams, mussels...with outdoor seating and Live Music! Well we discovered Capt. Bob's!! It was not far away and had Everything we were looking for! It was a Perfect Evening! The weather, music, food and service was Top Notch! Wifey got her crab on and I got my shellfish on! The soup was Amazing! Broasted Chicken and Sweet Tater Fries were The Best! The service, food quality, and entertainment could Not have been any better!! Thanks for providing my wife and I with a Great Experience!!
