Been here twice and both times the food was just mid. Nothing worthwhile of going out for a treat. Coffee wasn’t great either.
I had no
Expectations of eating at corner cafe in red lion for breakfast. I chose for breakfast 2 pieces of French toast 2 eggs and 2 sausage links and decaf coffee. All were very reasonably price for under $11.00. Food was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive ( I forgot to ask
For her name) for future. My only complaint was the cap
On the syrup container easily comes off when using. So be careful. I would definitely highly recommend breakfast at the corner cafe on Lombard road in red lion. My experience was on a Saturday morning around nine am. Dinner review since I had a delicious breakfast I had high expectations of the cafe for a late lunch or early dinner. I read online menu a classic Rueben for 9.95. When I went to order the waiter said they don’t have the rueben. I should of left than as I was hungry for a good rueben. But to not be rude and walk out. I chose to order another dish. I chose baby roast beef with stuffing platter and 2 sides. My choice of platter didn’t meet my high expectations like I have for their breakfasts. The stuffing tasted like heavy buttered toasted bread. Gravy very salty. Beef while thinly sliced very tough to cut even with a steak knife. Creamy Cole slaw delicious and pickled egg and beet’s delicious. Now I understand why the parking lot was practically empty when I pulled up. But when I drive past the front the sign read open. Will I return to the cafe? Yes but only for their delicious breakfasts. And I will drive by for an early dinner or late lunch. Next time I want a rueben I will drive to memory lane or Hellamshire.
Parking: Free parking however might be tight if towing a camper or driving a large Rv or motor coach.

We are glad we discovered this local cafe. They have a large menu. The food is fresh and reasonably priced. The staff is efficient and friendly. Mom and I would highly recommend their breakfast that we have often enjoyed.

Had extremely high hopes for a good diner style burger but this place did not come through for me. The bun was dense and had hard spots on it as if it had been freezer burned and then overly reheated in a microwave. The burger itself was very dry, tasteless and cooked to excessively well done. The fries on the other hand could have stood a bit more time in the fryer. The fries were served just lukewarm and were quite limp, no crispiness whatsoever. Service was adequate, but our server filled our drink glasses with ice to minimize the soda & tea in the glasses, and she should also have totaled our bill. When checking out at the register I paid a 30% tip on top of the bill, only to find out later that my wife had left a cash tip on the table. The server should have offered to process our payment while we were still at our table which is quite the usual process in a restaurant.

We came here to eat once a month. We live far away. This time we had poor service. Also for 2 egg breakfast special don't include drinks anymore. Prices apparently changed July 28th. This place used to have great food, service and prices. Now someone got greedy. I don't know why people change a good thing. Now we won't be back. Everything not worth the price now. Good luck with your business.

My daughter and I went for breakfast and was greeted warmly by the staff. We were seated, and offered suggestions (which is rare these days), but not rushed to order.
Once our orders were taken, we received refills on our drinks, and we weren't rushed to leave. We've returned several times since then.

Food & service was fine , but the talking sponge on the tablet at the next table was altogether rude and unnecessary for a public restaurant, when I had trouble talking to my wife at our table

Ordered eggs over medium well but the yolks were popped like most diners do for eggs over well/hard; not sure how to order eggs over slightly beyond medium there. My toast was burned and the home fried potatoes were crumbly tiny pieces instead of the slices I used to get there. It had been crowded with seniors when we first got there.

Very good breakfast. The Misses gets the Crepes, and I get the breakfast tacos. Almost every time. Food is really good and for the price it's a great deal. Also extremely good coffee.
