Visited tonight for the first time. The staff was SO helpful. I purchased crab legs and shrimp and they steamed them for me. Came home and they are amazing!! My son said they are the best he has had locally!! We will be back!! Thank you to the amazing staff that helped me!!

Second time we purchased steamed shrimp here for a party… Both times it was terrible. Mushy and could never peal shell off..ended up throwing away the white 5 pounds

I’ve never purchased “steamed” shrimp that were packaged in a container full of water. The “water” leaked all over the seat of my truck. When I called to complain I received a very sarcastic “I’m sorry “. Furthermore the shrimp tasted like they were either old or the steamer had not been recently cleaned. I’ll continue to remember this experience as long as I can smell rotten shrimp in my truck every day (I’m sure even after shampooing). I won’t be returning.

The owner lied to me on the phone just to get me there. The crab legs we talked about weren't even close to what he said. So I just want to give a shout out to the owner for wasting an hour of my time. May you go out of business soon.

I hate to leave a bad review, but this was my second time trying crabs from here, and both times were troublesome.
I won't cover my experience from years ago, but when I saw them advertising special pricing on their Facebook page I figured I'd give them a second chance.
The intent of their post was to help clear the last of their crab inventory before the next shipment comes in, so shoot them a message and they'll discuss pricing.
After messaging I got a 1/2 bushel of males for $125, then 2 dozen of shrimp for $14.
1. The shrimp and crabs were severely over-steamed. The shrimp wouldn't peel away from the shell and the crab meat was more like jerky.
2. I would say that easily over 60-70% of the crabs we received were rancid. Dark gray / green internals with horrendous smells. We had to toss the crabs since they were unsafe to eat. I also have suspicion that some of the shrimp was bad as well.
I provided this feedback to the business through the same chat we had on Facebook messenger to make sure these concerns were on their radar. I was left on read with no response.
** I understand that I should have seen the writing on the wall with their advertisement, in that they were trying to get through the last of their crabs. What should I expect right? Well at the very least, I would expect that if the crabs were that old, and rancid, they wouldn't be sold. Clearly these crabs were no good. Some issues here and there? Sure. But not a need to trash the entire purchase. **
One positive however, is up until the purchase, the staff was very kind and responsive.

We are not the most experienced with crabs as we are used to the comfort of crab cakes, but the crabs at S & S were delicious and of quality!
Service was efficient and present. Food seemed fresh and we truly enjoyed the seasoning. Crabs were good. Shrimp was outstanding and slushy was as good as it gets.
Interior was a bit worn down but well maintained and authentic. We went on off hours and no wonder we were the only ones dining in but take out seemed more popular.
Prices were fair and reasonable.

Service was efficient and present. Food seemed fresh and we truly enjoyed the seasoning. Crabs were good. Shrimp was outstanding and slushy was as good as it gets.
Interior was a bit worn down but well maintained and authentic. We went on off hours and no wonder we were the only ones dining in but take out seemed more popular.
Prices were fair and reasonable.

BEST CRABS IN YORK COUNTY! Good prices, friendly service, and the best hot steamed crabs around!
I was highly disappointed in the crabs here. The crabs were light and the shells were paper shells. The seasoning was tasty but very salty. They turned my hands orange. Not like true Maryland crabs. The crabs were not yellow but a grey and dark green color. I wasted over 100 bucks and I'm sitting here looking at crabs no one will eat. So disappointed!!!
