There was a hair in the omelet. I ordered fruit as a side ($4.25) and it was just canned fruit cocktail. I guess I was expecting some fresh fruit which is readily available this time of year. I also ordered a side of bacon that turned out to be only 2 slices. Our waitress was very nice but we had to ask about getting a price reduction for the omelet with a long hair in it. Definitely won’t be eating there again.

WILL NEVER COME BACK Second time this has happened to us in past three months. This was our "go-to" breakfast place for many years, but they've taken a nose dive in recent years. Today was our last visit EVER.*The highlights: waited 40 minutes for our food, there were two of us.*Three tables around us, all came in long after us, were served before us.*We asked if we were forgotten, since the waitress never bothered to check on us.*No coffee refill, no water refill, no nothing.*Finally we asked, and nine minutes later we got our food. 49 minutes for an omelet and a breakfast sandwich.*The breakfast sandwich was missing cheese we ordered so we asked for cheese.*Waitress snapped it up, took it back and one minute later came back with it.*Cook had put 1/2 a slice of cheese and just threw it in there. Didn't bother to melt it, and the sandwich was blown apart.*My wife told her to just send it back and remove it from the bill.*Waitress never came back with the bill.*Went to the register to pay and she told me an amount. A large amount. Wouldn't show me the written piece of paper. I asked if it was correct and did she remove the breakfast sandwich? Oh yes she told me.*As we were driving my wife looked up the menu. She charged us for the food we sent back.*Management DOES NOT CARE*After thousands of dollars spent, we will not be back*Go to Sticky Bun Cafe 8 minutes away and 1/3 the price with great service.NEVER AGAIN!!!

Came here hungry for lunch with my kid on a Sunday at noon. VERY Disappointing.I ordered Meatloaf sandwich and daughter ordered kids chicken nuggets with applesauce and we had waited 20 minutes for our food to come out. Very Disappointed with the plates our waitress put in front of us.For $10 bucks, My meatloaf sandwich was literally a thin slice of reheated meatloaf in between 2 slices of white bread, LOL, my daughter was given 5 chicken nuggets and no side. I gave my mashed potatoes to her because they were out of applesauce and 5 nuggets weren't gonna cut it.. they at least offered her a different side but at that point we were done sitting there in the most uncomfortable chairs in PA. The food we chose here here sucks, overpriced and bland. Go somewhere else.

We found this place because we saw a sign on the highway. We are southern people, and are some what skeptical of places like this, that claim to be homemade and such, but this place was AMAZING. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. We stopped again on the way back through. Great place, great foo. This will be our go to everytime we pass through the area.

Overall it wasn't a bad experience. The staff were very friendly and busy with topping things up as it was near the end of their day. They attended to us well enough. The food was pretty good. My husband loved his pancakes, said the scrapple was decent (could have been fried a touch more, but he likes his crispy) and my roast turkey sandwich w/fries and gravy were okay. The turkey was fresh off the bird, or had that feel and the fries were cooked well too. The bread was homemade, and I love that little detail, especially being in Amish country. The gravy though, that needs some help. It was just cornstarch slurry added to flavorless stock. Salt helped a smidge.I will be back, because I'm not a judge a restaurant by one meal type of person. Also, the gravy could be way better the next time. The staff were great, the atmosphere was cozy and had a "down-home" feeling.
