1star is a gift mainly because you cant give 0. I ordered the 1/2 lb cheeseburger, but what I got was at beat , a 3 oz hockey puck. Obviously those 5 pound boxes of frozen burgers for $5.99 at save a lot. Add the “house cut french frys , extra 2 bucks, for limp and oul filled fries. That said, my meal was fantastic compared to my wife's “French Dip” made with 2 thin slices of Lunch meat served on a stale roll. Same Greeezzy friesYou people should be ashamed of yourselves serving that slop.No wonder we were the only ones in the entire place except for a table of Drinkers. (No food, smart)The good reviews cant be real andIMO are written by the owners and staff. To the owners, WISE UP!the only ones you're fooling are yourselves. Start serving the food that you describe on your menu and you might survive.

This place is an annual Tradition for my family. Sadly, after meeting the owner PAUL today, we will end that tradition.I asked for PAUL to come to our table to admire and give accolades to the understaffed waitresses who were busting their butts. In this public venue, he became super rude and advised that he needed to get back to work. Who, as a proprietor of a restaurant dismisses a public accolade?? While the food here is great, I refuse to ever patronize an establishment who treats his clientele AND his hardworking staff with such contempt. I noticed as my family left, that many other patrons who witnessed the dialogue with PAUL, offered their support in what I had said. And if your reading this Paul then here is a message for you:: if you cant spare 53 min to accept praise on behalf of your hardworking staff then you should shut down until you can.

I rarely give bad reviews but want to make sure other travelers along the turnpike who find what looks like a cute German restaurant and think it would be a good stop for the family know what to expect. It’s in a cute German village that had no sign of life while we were there on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant was minimally staffed. The fried food was okay, but didn’t seem fresh. The chicken tenders and fries were dry. The kids spaghetti was watery and the meatballs weren’t even covered in sauce and room temperature. The baked tomato soup was chunky, thick, cheesy, nearly white in color and looked very unappealing. I’m not a picky eater and couldn’t eat it. The pretzel bite appetizer was very good, fresh and warm. Our waiter kindly took it off our bill because she’d missed the order.

Food was served cold. Very limited German menu and beer selection and portions small. Not a good first time here experience.

This place should not advertise as German. Very little German cuisine and beers on the menu. Poor food quality.

What truly sets The Village Haus apart is its deep connection to the community. With Adamstown’s population of around 2,000, this restaurant feels like an extension of everyone’s living room. The local owner and staff greet patrons like old friends, sharing stories and laughter. They embody the spirit of small-town hospitality, making each visit feel like a homecoming. As the sun sets, local musicians fill the air with live melodies. Whether it’s a folk tune or a classic ballad, their performances add magic to the evenings. And if you choose to dine outdoors, the view of the main square is picturesque—a slice of Stoudtsburg’s charm. The staff at The Village Haus redefine exceptional service. They anticipate your needs, offer genuine recommendations, and ensure that every detail is just right. It’s evident that they take immense pride in their work, treating guests like cherished family members. The Village Haus isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a haven where flavors, stories, and community converge. Whether you’re a local or a curious traveler passing through, make time for this culinary treasure. You’ll leave with a satisfied palate, a full heart, and a promise to return.

The worst ever I orderd crab soup and it had shells in it. Service was awful, we had to approach staff to be waited on. No napkins or silverware. Food came out wrong. We tried to address this with the staff they blew us if by telling us she is new. She definitely had no training. I paid 25.00 for nachos that were terrible and soup that was loaded with shells.I never will return
