Most days I would be able to give this a good review.
But, On Sunday, August 10, I wasn’t overly impressed. First off I had to wait 5 minutes for the girls at the front counter to stop their giggling conversation so that one of them could come help me. Even then, the girl who helped me was giggling and trying to keep up her end of the conversation with the other girls while she took my order. They were all laughing about a splatter of milkshake that was in her hair. She also had me repeat my order numerous times because she couldn’t remember what I had ordered.
I’d give them a try again but I was very disappointed. As I watched and waited for my order I noticed that other customers were experiencing the same thing. 😌🤔

We come here fairly often. My daughter always gets iced matcha, and it is usually just ok. The smoothies are natural and not full of artificial flavoring. The hazelnut sunrise pastry was very hard and stale. The ice cream
is great of course! We got hot food today for the first time. We both got paninis and they were fine. Neither of us would get them again. The macaroni salad was very vinegary and I wasn’t able to eat it. Everyone lives Middleswarth Chips!
A saving grace for out of towners wanting great coffee and a cozy place to drink it ... Friendly staff great prices
Very rustic peaceful atmosphere great food great friendly service..highly recommend!
I have to give 1 star for the coffee and especially the service here. I’ve worked and managed some of the busiest coffee shops in a large city and we put out drinks faster to whole crowds than this place does for 1-2 people.
Every time I stop there’s 3-4 people working behind the counter. But it still takes far too long for a customer to get a drink and/or a pastry. I see people just standing around waiting for their orders while the folks behind the counter are moving slow and chatting to each other.
As for the coffee, I have tried 4-5 different drinks here and every single one has been terrible. The drip coffee, the espresso, the mixed lattes, all terrible! They taste burnt and the sugar ratios in the lattes are way off making them to sweet.
I like that the place is roomy and has several kinds of seating to choose from. They also take UPS packages. And the bathroom is always clean. I’ll continue to meet friends here but I’ll only buy bottled drinks and pastries from now on.
My advice to management is to:
-hire someone to train you and your staff on how pull espresso, flavor drinks, to multitask, to work more efficiently, and how to provide customer service.
-And to move away from the fire roasted beans. That method is too difficult to maintain quality. Find a local roaster that uses the drum method and you’ll notice a big improvement in your drinks.
Your community wants to support you! Continue to educate and train your entire staff. It’s worth it!
I had a great first experience at this neat coffeehouse! The employees were very friendly and the service was quick.👌🏼And the food was also great! I would love to come back again.
Cute little coffee shop and the coffee is awesome and must try in the area we go every weekend now
The Old Mill makes the best sandwiches in the whole area!! Chicken, burgers, BLT, etc...all delicious and just awesome! The atmosphere is an authentic old mill style setting and very quaint and neat place to eat. The staff were super friendly and nice! I recommend the Old Mill Coffeehouse to anyone looking for some fantastic coffee or a GREAT breakfast or lunch!!!
So many drinks & foods to choose from & they never disappoint! Highly recommend the sunrise burger & the hog wild breakfast sandwich. Also really nice that they have a pickup window for online orders, as that’s not an option for any other local places.

I love this place! The atmosphere was so calming, food was delicious, and the baristas were super friendly and efficient. Their fall drinks menu looked amazing, and although they did not appear to make their syrups homemade or grind their own beans, my “Flannel” aka brown sugar cappuccino, was extremely enjoyable. They even wrote an inspirational message on my cup! I wasn’t hungry, but they have a wide selection of sandwich melts, baked goods, and breakfast items such as Avacado toast, bagels, and baked oatmeal. I also loved how much seating there was. Definitely worth a stop!
Great experience!
