We just ate breakfast at Joey's and let me tell you the food was delicious 😋 and the portions where amazing. The wattress was so sweet. She even recommended a restaurant to eat at for dinner. Would recommend to anyone coming thru the area.

STOP HERE NOW!! Joey’s is the BEST place to get a meal; I came here while passing through town. I had the most DELICIOUS & satisfying meal to keep me energized for my travels! The waitresses (Christina & Mae - I hope I remembered/spelled your names correctly) were so friendly and personable!! Even the owners popped out of the kitchen to say hello and share their history, as it was almost closing time. The baked goods were to die for … I HIGHLY recommend the donuts & assortment of cookies 😋

The first time I walked into Joey's restaurant it was pleasing and it was comfortable. the atmosphere was wonderful inside + you can tell by the people that were very content and happy. so when I ordered my food it was absolutely delicious. I don't know how many times I called and placed an order and had it delivered to my home and as long as I'm still here I will always support Joey's restaurant and other little restaurants that's in the town

They're not open late, but I've eaten some of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere in North America, coast to coast. The corned beef hash was excellent, the breads were ultra fresh -- made right there. Serving size was big enough that it's hard to finish, unless you're starving. I come there every time I'm within 100km, and detour from Toronto when heading south to get there.
Vegetarian options: I'm a "flexitarian" when travelling, so did have the corned beef hash, but as long as you can eat eggs, you'll get a great breakfast with no meat. I can't speak for other meals, since I've always had breakfast there.

Food is good but not exemplary. Understaffed and the staff that was there was catering to the regulars. Could use a little sprucing up.
Looked like it needed to be cleaned. And the cook looked like he hadn't showered in years. Like New York in the 1980s.
Waitress got my order wrong. Then I was like hey, did you charge me for the bacon (bc I ordered my food with bacon and I was trying to hint nicely)? and she was like no. Instead of no, did you want it? Or any recollection that we had done this already.
They use margarine... Like how do you have fresh baked bread and no real butter?
And finally, I got RAW scrambled eggs. And I'm like how high do you have to be to mess up PLAIN scrambled eggs?
