I suppose everyone has a right to their own opinion, but I think the 4.4 rating on this place is an absolute travesty. I had never tried shoo-fly pie before visiting PA this autumn, but I made it a point to try a couple of different ones during my visit, and while all of them were quite yummy, for me Dutch Haven was head and shoulders and belly-button ahead of all others. Dutch Haven Shoo-Fly Pie Bakery is a must visit spot! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff and offered a sample of their famous shoo-fly pie, which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with charming decor that reflects the area’s Amish heritage. It’s clear they take pride in their pies, and for good reason they’re fantastic! Cute little country store with plenty of souvenirs and local homemade treats to take home. Reasonable prices. Unique items. They even have free samples of shoefly pie. Would recommend stopping to check it out, while visiting.
