First visit on 11/17/19 when driving through Saltburg on Sunday night. Had never been on Point Street. GPS took us to the Olde salt. Everything about the experience was superb. These include the unique quaint old building, attention to our needs, excellent fish and shrimp, chicken noodle soup, home made chips, side salad, cheddar mash potatoes, and coconut cream pie. There are a group of women that meet once a month for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This month we had lunch, unfortunately, only 3 of us were able to attend. We had a very nice lunch at the Olde Salt Restaurant. The food was delicious and portions were huge. My only complaint was that after our meal, we paid the bill and were enjoying conversation and the waitress asked if we needed anything in a tone like we should leave if we are done with our meal. take out service was excellant (corona virus mandates take out only). We had breaded shrimp and breaded fish and garlic mashed potatoes and cole slaw and he added several packages of Oreol Cookies--- nice touch. Service was right on time! Highly recommend them for take out service. Enjoyed their sitdown meals in the past. Nice atmosphere. service for sitdown (when it was available) was a little slow.
