2025: We went here the Sunday after Easter and were surprised that they had a line dancing group event going on. The view of the lake was spectacular. The food was good. There was a lot left over as the portions were large - especially the fries and tots. We enjoyed the music and dancing. It was a wonderful day to be out. Would highly recommend this for the atmosphere and food. Great find.
My friend and I were out and about shopping at the sale at the nearby alpaca farm and decided to go there for lunch. Based on the recommendation of the farm owner. The restaurant was mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon. I got a pulled pork sandwich and my friend got the special grilled cheese and tomato soup. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. We had a table overlooking the lake. A bonus was that the grilled cheese and tomato soup special was only $8! Where can you get food...
Lakeside's rendition of a Cobb salad was something unexpected. Very creative with an attention to detail. The avocado based dressing was the perfect call tying the fresh ingredients together. The texture of the finely chopped bacon bits and crumbled feta complimented the seasoned shrimp remarkably well. This wasn't something just thrown together, there was some culinary passion here. A pleasant surprise.
