We went here tonight for my birthday(8 people in our party). This place is so cute! The food was fantastic. Everyone absolutely loved it! I’ve never seen so many cleaned plates. The waitress was so sweet. This is my new favorite spot! We are definitely coming back.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved their food! It was a great experience

So this quaint little Skippack based restaurant is, for some reason listed on line as being in Schwenksville. its not...slightly confusing. Anyway the reviews speaking about the high quality of the food were spot on. We dined with as a party of four and every dish was veery well executed with a very nice portion. The food was served in a timely manner and portions were very good. The service was attentive but not pesty. The restaurant itself is a very quirky affair. The tables for this Mediterranean gem are upstairs in a Bavarian themed building. Prices ere modest, especially for a byob. So, very good food, good service and its a BYOB. Win, win, win.

What a lovely meal. We had wanted to try Calypso because we really enjoy Mediterranean food. Our expectations were exceeded. From the salad to the entrees to dessert, we were so pleased . We look forward to returning very soon.

Our evening at Calypso began well - we were promptly seated and given menus. Our waitress brought water, wine glasses, and then came back to take our orders. The hummus appetizer arrived soon after and was not only very tasty but generously sized. After that the evening went downhill. After about 30 minutes the waitress informed us our entrees would be ready soon. After another 20 minutes had passed, I inquired again, and she said they'd arrive in 10- 15 minutes. She admitted there was a problem but didn't elaborate on what it was. She asked if we'd like some bread to tide us over, that was appreciated. We ended up waiting over an hour for our entrees. I truly think the chef forgot our order, because we saw another table that arrived after us received their entrees well before us. Not only was nothing offered to compensate us for their mistake, but when we got the bill we saw a $5 charge for the bread! We didn't say anything because at that point we just wanted to leave, and we didn't see anyone to speak with anyway. No one ever came to ask us how everything was. I don't blame the waitress as she was new, it's clear they need a manager who actually cares about service. All in all, a very disappointing experience, our first time there will probably be our last.

A lovely restaurant for an intimate dinner. Our server was gracious and attentive. The menu was inviting and made it difficult to pick one thing. A bit of a wait for our entrees, but worth it. Salads, entrees, dessert...all delicious!! This was our first visit, but will definitely return!!

Delicious food. We had the bass, lamb shank, and shrimp. While the food took time to prepare, we enjoyed hanging out, drinking wine and catching up with friends. An unexpected and yummy find in Skippack.

Absolutely a disgrace! Spent $380 on dinner for 5ppl. The order was not correct and the person argued to say that was what I ordered. No pita bread with the 3 orders of hummus. One dinner had a hair in it. What a joke. I will make sure no one I know goes to this dump!

The food and service is amazing! Highly recommend!! We started with the Mezze platter. Our main entrees were the lamb shank, sumac crusted steak, salmon, and chef's special shrimp and lobster. Finished our meal with peanut butter explosion dessert. What a great dining experience!

First thoughts- nice atmosphere. Seating is on the second floor. Was very surprised if there was only one waiter on a Saturday evening. He did do a great job. Restaurant was not very busy.. We ordered the Mezze platter and Spanakopita. VERY disappointed in the baba ganoush and hummus- both were flavorless and not good. Taziki was ok. There are no fresh figs on the platter (as stated on the menu), which I was looking forward to.. The top layer of the Spanakopita was cooked but the layers underneath were still doughy. If it was cooked correctly, this dish would've been very delicious. We decided to split the chef special which was a chicken breast with a tarragon, cream sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, and asparagus ($30). The dish itself was very good. However, the portion was VERY SMALL with only half of a small chicken breast pounded thin with no other accompaniments. My husband and I left there spending just under $90 and hungry. There's too many restaurants in Skippack to choose from and became of this experience we probably won't be back unless quality and quantity change. ***Note majority of the searing is up a large flight of stairs. Only a couple tables on the ground level. Would highly recommend reservations !!

Had a wonderful meal here. Service and food were excellent and prices were reasonable. We had the lamb shank and flank steak. It was not very loud like lots of restaurants are these days. Loved the vaulted ceiling and rustic interior. Will definitely return!

This place is amazing! The setting in historic Skippack in an old house/ building provides an excellent backdrop to the delicious, authentic food. As my friend and I ate early in the lunch seating, we were greeted by the very kind and talented Chef. Best salmon I have eaten in a long time and the roasted lemon potatoes were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this local restaurant!

We had the black cod special and it was horrible. You smelled the food as they approached the table with it, my wife told me she didn't smell what I smelled...it wasn't until we tasted the cod; I almost threw up! It was clearly bad. The chef said no one else complained!!! What?? You should not smell fresh fish and if its cooked and smell bad, you know its bad... anyway I wouldn't go back there, let's pray I don't become sick.... the waiter was nice though. Now I'm stuck eating Wendy's for dinner.
