The Mousakka was one of the best meals I've ever had. Didn't quite make it to dessert but we had a nice cup of hot coffee to round it out.
Really loved the food here. Delicious and classic.
Service was very slow. Half of beef kabob were bad meat pieces.
Our meal was delicious and served piping hot. Pleasant atmosphere and good service. We will definitely return for another meal.
This place is amazing! The setting in historic Skippack in an old house/ building provides an excellent backdrop to the delicious, authentic food. As my friend and I ate early in the lunch seating, we were greeted by the very kind and talented Chef. Best salmon I have eaten in a long time and the roasted lemon potatoes were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this local restaurant!
We had the black cod special and it was horrible. You smelled the food as they approached the table with it, my wife told me she didn't smell what I smelled...it wasn't until we tasted the cod; I almost threw up! It was clearly bad. The chef said no one else complained!!! What?? You should not smell fresh fish and if its cooked and smell bad, you know its bad... anyway I wouldn't go back there, let's pray I don't become sick.... the waiter was nice though. Now I'm stuck eating Wendy's for dinner.
Great menu selections, ambience, service. Easy parking right outside and BYO are welcome additions . Lovely outside courtyard when weather is warm. Loved our apps Mezze platter( great for sharing) , fig and goat cheese salad. Enjoyed entrees of salmon, Lamb Shank, and Black Cod.
If you enjoy Mediterranean food or are interested in trying it, this is a great place. The staff is friendly, and the meals/plates are prepared from scratch. Will be returning again and would definitely recommend it to others.
We enjoyed our meal and each chose the salmon w basmati rice. It was a delicious dish. The service and scene were exactly what we were looking for.
Great diner. baba ghanoush didn’t have much flavor at all.
We had a party of four that went to Calypso on a Wed night. It was not very crowded. Not sure why it was so quiet because the food was very good and Lily our server did a great job taking care of us. The salads and hummus were nice appetizers. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. I had the Shish Tawook which was excellent. The potion sizes are very generous. And they have a nice selection of desserts. Definitely try Calypso.
Food was delicious. The spanikopita is as good and lamb shank fell off the bone. Atmosphere was cute and romantic. It was BYOB! In the summer wear bug spray if you’re gonna sit outside, lots of mosquitos. Service was good but food took a little while to come out, maybe they just take a little longer to cook each dish individually but I didn’t mind.
Delicious and fresh - will absolutely be back! Great wait staff too.
My wife and I along with another couple had a very pleasant dinner at Calypso last night. The outdoor setting was lovely and the entrees were excellent. Our young waiter was pleasant but very inexperienced and the appetizers were disappointing.
Calypso has been and continues to be a nice place to eat. The food is delicious, the staff is kind and do a great job. I will continue to eat enjoy their restaurant and recommend to friends.
