I showed up today 12/29 at 1:35pm sewickley location. (they close at 2). I was the only customer and was greeted by a veryyyyy annoyed employee. I have not been in a brueggers for a while and thought you ordered at the counter where they make your food, however she stood at the computer even more annoyed I walked to the counter and asked how she could help me. She said it in such a manner that I paused to look at my phone to see the time and looked back at her waiting for her to say we’re closed early (the back entrance was locked already so I wasn’t sure if they had forgot to lock the front) but she didn’t so I started to order. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese with siracha on a plain bagel. Then ordered the western ( I believe) with sausage instead of bacon and asked to add siracha as well. She asked if I wanted to keep the chipotle mayo and I said yes, may I please have an extra side of it as well. I also bought an orange juice and green tea. AND LEFT A $3 tip (that was the highest amount because I wanted to leave $5 as a kill you with kindness type of thing) she started making my food, and she called for a woman in the back to come out and help, who was just as annoyed and rushy like her. Instant karma did hit because like 6 other people walked in and I secretly laughed however joke was about to be me when I got home. I had to run to giant eagle and when I got home was surprised to open my worst ever brueggers bagels! Let me tell you my husband and I were so excited hence the haven’t been there for a while.
I opened our sandwiches to find that I in fact did not need the extra side of chipotle mayo (the only thing she got right) because she put 3x extra on each sandwich and absolutely no siracha on either. My husband is NOT a huge fan of mayo to begin with but it was layered on so thick it looked like there was also cream cheese which does not come on the sandwich I ordered nor did I order it…… what about the siracha we talked about three times?! And whyyyyy would ask for extra mayo if you’re gonna put the whole tub of it on. Needless to say I didn’t think to take a picture until my husband had torn his sandwich apart trying to salvage any of it. which may have been two bites. However,vi thought I wouldn’t mind mine too much because I love the mayo. IT WAS ABSURB. First not having the siracha killed it but one bite and it literally made me not hungry anymore. So I will add the pictures I took. Mine is the one that speaks for itself. I put my finger in the sauce so you couldn’t mistake it for a pepper or something. (I didn’t think to show the onions that literally looked like they were from the bottom of the tub for two weeks.) my husband threw out his messy part but I took a photo to show there is no red at all, that should’ve been siracha!
I tried to call the store to leave my name and number to speak with a manager. However, there was no mailbox so after it rang and went to the main menu, i tried pressing something else and it rang again. Someone answered in a very ignorant and rushing you off the phone way and said “this is brueggers bagels we’re closed, how can I help you”. I was thrown off and asked to speak to a manager. In another very ignorant and more rushing me off the phone she said, “I am the manager, how can I help you.” So I hung up because I was not about to deal with one of those miserable women. I didn’t want to have to come on here and do this. I wanted to speak with a manager, but definitely not that one and there’s no mailbox for any other way to know I’m not speaking with her. I’m not looking for anyone to get fired, I get that this time of the year is stressful and what not and no one wants to be working the time between Christmas and new years. But some of us have to. And it’s 1:35 when you close at 2. It took you about 7 minutes to make my sandwiches (wrong) when it would’ve taken the same time to make them right. If you weren’t focused on leaving. It’s not like it’s 10pm. I’m sorry for my rant, just really disappointed that I spent $30 on an orange juice and green tea.

Ordered an onion bagel and it was literally burned to a crisp. I was already home by the time I opened it. How they gave this to a customer is beyond me:

I brought my special needs brother into the Sewickley Bruegger's this morning and was told that my brother's service animal had to leave immediately. Living in Sewickley for 17 years now every person in this town, including the local businesses, knows this animal and my brother. As a service animal they are legally considered no different than a person. The fact I was confronted by TWO uninformed and/or ignorant employees and harassed about this fact was absurd and appalling. This establishment obviously needs to read up on the legal rights of special needs people and their service animals. They have now lost a customer and every recommendation from this point on will be extremely negative. Starbucks across the street has never had an issue with this situation and will be a short walk for better service.

Came early in the morning and was greeted with friendly faces and fresh bagels! It’s out of my way so I don’t come here often, but it’s such a treat when I have the opportunity! Their breakfast sandwiches are the best and I got a half dozen for the road.

I have been here multiple times over several years. I actually enjoy brueggers bagels, but this location puts it to shame. The staff and food are always hit or miss. Running out of items often. But the attitude I received from the staff today is the reasoning for my review. Very unpleasant visit, staff needs retrained.

The owners response so anyone’s complaint is so scripted and never gives any real feedback it’s sad and shows a lack of care across the

Covid killed this place. Lower quality smaller bagels, more expensive. Go to Bridgeside market if you want a quality, fair priced breakfast sandwich.

Didn’t have what I ordered so they put something else in there like I’d be okay with it. Then I have to jump through a bunch of hoops to wait 5 days for my refund.

I like the menu at Brueggers. This location could use a more frequent cleaning then what they seem to have. The floors needed swept and the place could use fresh paint. You can see places where dents and dings are evident. I go for the food. Speaking of the food they no longer have hot sauce but hot sauce on the siraracha honey sunrise was delicious!

The food is really good, customer service could be a little better from some of the employees. Overall I enjoy going there.
