8 Mile Pie
Caliente's Detroit Red Top Pizza is instantly recognizable by its square shape and thick crust. Detroit Style Pizza got its start in the mid 1940's thanks to soldiers returning home after WWII. Rather than using traditional round pans, in true Motor City fashion, the originators baked their pizza in square, blue steel automotive parts pans that allowed the outer edges of cheese to caramelize, forming a delicious golden brown cheese barrier around the perimeter of the pie.

Love this place. The Brooklyn pepperoni is our favorite pizza. Love the mozzarella sticks too. Definitely try it out. Hard to find good pizza places and this one is an excellent choice.

I've dined in here 3 or 4 times and had takeout several times. The pizza and sandwiches are pretty solid with a nice selection of pizzas as well as wing sauces. Check your take out orders before leaving; they majorly screwed up our pizza order once and we didn't realize it until we got home. Dine in service is hit or miss. The last time I tried to eat there, I waited at the bar for 10 minutes with no bartender, though a hostess was sitting idly nearby. I might have...

Waited 15 mins before getting a menu and despite only a few customers we waited another long time to get an order taken. Pizza was decent but under cooked causing the cheese to fall off when picked up. I've been to the store in Aspinwall and it was way better.
