We love Mambo. You can find us there at least once a week. The experience is always amazing. Joe, the owner, is always visible and greets all his customers with kindness. He visits all the tables to make sure everything is perfect. We are ALWAYS impressed with the dishes and we love the specials they are now featuring. This is a great Sewickley spot. It’s family friendly and the service and food are unbeatable!

This place is great. We went early on a Thursday night without a reservation; big mistake on our part as it was already busy but they said they would accommodate us if we didn't mind waiting 15-20 minutes. No problem there. We were sat and enjoyed one of the unique perks of this restaurant it's BYOB for $12 service. Folks with the prices a lot of restaurants are getting for a glass of wine these days this is a steal. They chilled our Homemade Malavasia and we sipped while enjoying the Caprese Salad with ample House made Mozz and the Roasted Beet Salad which had a nice dressing, fresh and citrusy tasting over ample Arugula (suggestion: toss in a little of the beautiful red leaf you serve with the Caprese). The Beets were a little sweet and I did not note a roast flavor but enjoyed them just the same. My Pollo Marsala was excellent I enjoyed that the mushrooms were mixed exotics and not just buttons like a lot of Italian restaurants serve. The service was excellent and prompt despite the heavy volume a true sign of well trained and engaged wait staff. The Maitre D or Owner; I'm assuming, came over to chat and we shared and truly enjoyed the entire experience. Noted that they make their own Pasta and Mozz, Wow! We will be back. Keep up the good work and give us some more Italian regional seasonal specials like Fiori di Zucca or Olives Ascolane yumm.

Great dinner and experience at Mambo! Serve super friendly, our meals were excellent. Wife had Gnocchi (she said were light and delicious) and I had Chicken Limon. Calimari app was super flavorable.
Reasonably priced, friendly, terrific food. Will be back soon!

Flat out terrific restaurant. Didn’t have reservations but thankfully there was still space, and we were kindly seated and treated to a top notch Italian meal. Everything was homemade and prepared perfectly. The owner made us feel at home, even went out of his way to make our daughter feel welcomed. Very much looking forward to going back!

I’ve had Mambo a few times and the food is amazing, however, I have tried numerous times to order takeout and am always told “we’re no longer taking takeout orders.”

If you can’t do take out or keep up with the demand of take out orders, it shouldn’t be offered on the website. Either you do take out or you don’t. That’s my only complaint!

Went to Mambo Italia in Sewickley tonight before heading into the city for a show. Fantastic food, great service and perfect vibe for a rainy summer day! Loved that they have a big garage door so you can sit inside and feel like you're outside! We had the Arancini to start, amazing! No pic because we ate them too quick. Was happy that they were made with homemade pasta instead of rice because my husband doesn't like rice but we both thought these were amazing. I had the beet salad which was also perfect and for dinner we had the house bread (pictured) and he had ckn parm. I had the seafood with spicy sauce....forgot the name but everything was so good. I grew up eating good Italian and this is good Italian. I love that everythings fresh and made in house including all the pasta.....will definitely be one of my go tos from now on.

This was legit the best Italian meal I’ve had outside of Italy! The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations! I had gnocchi with meatballs, the gnocchi was amazing, it wasn’t dense but more of a fluffy yet filling. The meatballs were delicious. Joe was extremely friendly and made sure everything was perfect (which it was). They have a cannoli pizza which is a unique treat. If you want a delectable Italian dinner in Pittsburgh Mambo Italia is THE place to go!

You wont believe it. Ya know these days you’re lucky if you get greeted even by the time you’re sitting at the table. But it’s almost like traveling back in time, see the owner, checking in on things, every member of the staff is checking in on the tables, making sure everything is good and then by the time you get to the food you realize you should have figured how great it would be. so everything is big and everything is great so you could be well enough to just throw a dart and do fine ordering. I recommend you get a pasta and an appetizer and since it BYOB throwing something extra. Try something even if it’s something you’re not familiar with because I can guarantee it will be great. I really like seeing the place in action and you can tell that everyone’s heart is in it and they’ll let you know that the owner‘s wife makes the tiramisu and I’m here to tell you that even with the stiff competition that it is the best in the city. The custard is light and flavor is on point and so often that’s what you don’t get but this time it’s perfect with your coffee and it might be the only thing you finish entirely without gladly taking it home. You’ve got to check this place out and it’s worth getting too from wherever you are in the city. Very much looking forward to going back.

My wife, her parents, and I visited Mambo Italia for the first time recently, and it was a great experience. My wife, who is pregnant and has been craving authentic Italian cuisine, was thrilled to finally find a gem in Pittsburgh. We’ve tried other Italian restaurants here, but none compared to Mambo Italia.

Our server, Emily, along with the owner, Joe, and his business partner, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Their warm, personable approach allowed us to relax and savor every moment of our meal. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was exceptional—truly a 10/10. My mother-in-law, a tiramisu aficionado, declared Mambo’s version the best she’s ever tasted.

Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Mambo Italia to anyone seeking outstanding Italian food and genuine hospitality!

My family and I just ate at Mambo Italia for the first time, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly!

The food was fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite was delicious, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. And don’t even get me started on the dessert… absolutely amazing! The perfect way to end a great meal.

If you're looking for a spot with great food and an even better atmosphere, Mambo Italia is a must-try. Highly recommend!

This is.... a lousy overpriced Italian place with servers who seem to be waiting tables for the first time ever with 12 dollar beet salads with beets out of a can. Do not waste your time or money on this joke of a restaurant.

How surprising you're the victim of your provided joke of service... your restaurant is a joke, and you claimed owners/operators are a joke to the restaurant industry... you know nothing of hospitality, your servers, and yourself rudly interrupt your guests to ask if everything is okay... buffoons.

Awesome restaurant, the food is amazing portions are huge, they have wood fire pizza, I had the seafood pasta and it's 5-1 seafood to pasta ratio. The owner goes around greeting everyone making sure you're happy with the experience. Highly recommend going when it's warm weather because they open the whole front of the restaurant garage style.
