I was visiting from out of town and needed a quick bite. The food was amazing, the portions exorbitant, and the prices right. My waitress McKenzie was extremely sweet, but all of the other staff were awesome too. Seems like there’s a lot of regulars and they all know each other. I’ll definitely be visiting again when I return to the area!

Now at home, I remember my time at VILLAGE SQUARE DINER at 5201 SPRING ROAD, SHERMANSDALE, PA 17090, #717-275-7218
After I sat down, a song starts playing over all speakers, “LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER” by CAPTAIN & TENNILE. TENNILE said, “THINK OF ME BABE WHENEVER”, immediately I start thinking of a ‘LONG AGO LOST LOVE’…that could have gone places, if I had put more effort into it.
While thinking, the waiter greets me, and then hand me a menu, I start ordering anything on the menu so I can listen to CAPTAIN & TENNILE’S song.
After ordering, and song at the end, another song starts playing, “TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS” by JOHN DENVER.
JOHN DENVER’S song nearly over, I wonder what song will play next, directly after JOHN DENVER’S song, “YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE DANCING” by LEO SAYER starts.
Now up beat, I get up and head to the restroom, while walking, I see mounted on walls, pictures of ELVIS PRESLEY, the BEATLES & MARYLIN MONROE (I hope her name is spelled correctly).
After using the restroom and food before me, I eat and is completely satisfied, because I am listening to beautiful songs from the past, have seen wonderful pictures from the past, and is now full from over the top cuisine…wait a minute, music, food, and pictures helped me to almost forget my ‘LONG AGO LOST LOVE’!
THANK YOU VILLAGE SQUARE DINER!
Great egg sandwich. It hit the proverbial spot.
Overall great experiencr and great food. A little slow on getting the food, but when it's kinda busy and one guy cooking....can't blame him too much. Will eat there again....kids LOVED the fries
I eat here frequently and the food is always good. Staff is very friendly and the diner is always clean. Keep up the good work!
Everyone is very well trained in management, servers and kitchen staff. Very good servers who are friendly, polite, and very helpful. Love coming to this restaurant!

The Reuben sandwich was skimpy with only two pieces of meat. My husbands patty melt only had one piece of meat.
No diner compares
Maddie was one of the best waitresses we had. Very helpful we wanted extra crispy home fries she suggested getting them deep fried they were fabulous. She was waiting the tables alone but remained very focused on all her tables
Well now, let me tell y’all somethin’—the Village Square Diner serves up biscuits and gravy so fine, I reckon angels might be takin’ notes. The biscuits were fluffy as a springtime cloud, and that gravy? Lord have mercy, it was smoother than a buttered skillet and seasoned like Grandma herself whispered the recipe straight from heaven. I sat there, fork in hand, feelin’ like I’d stumbled into the promised land of comfort food. If you’ve got a hankerin’ for somethin’ that’ll warm your soul and make you wanna hug the cook, this is the place to be. Don’t just take my word for it, though—grab a plate and prepare to fall in love.
A great place to have lunch with family and friends
