“My family has been here quite a few times, and for the most part, the food is very good. I think the crab cake was the only thing any of us ordered that was subpar and would not order again. All the traditional Irish dishes are very good. Their chicken fingers, burgers, and fries are also delicious…probably the best I can think of out of the bar/restaurants we go to in the area. Prices are reasonable. We always receive good service and drinks never sit empty for long. Unfortunately the one big miss for us is that their beer isn’t very cold.“

“Absolutely fantastic experience at Ganly's Irish Pub and Restaurant! The service was top-notch — the wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The night manager was also very welcoming and personable.

We both enjoyed our meals greatly — I had the Maryland mac and cheese and my wife got the beef stroganoff. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, super rich, flavorful, and served with huge portions. The quality and taste totally justified the slightly higher prices, especially since we ended up taking leftovers home and enjoyed them for two more meals.

Highly recommend Ganly's for anyone looking for an authentic, hearty meal with excellent service. We'll definitely be returning!“

“The service was perfect. The food was delicious. Fresh bread softened butter. I had scallops wrapped in bacon with a fabulous horseradish sauce. Mango salad. I had crab cakes, roasted red potatoes and coleslaw. I brought a delicious cake home with butter rum sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

They know how to pour, what to pour, and who to pour it for. I never name names, but in this case, I will set a new precedent. Kudos to Kyle, Paige, Bailey, and Ryan. Each of whom, it would seem, come from different worlds and life experiences. All of whom are going places, be it in academic education, hospitality, entrepreneurship, or perhaps being the best at building a conventional life with style, love of life, family, and humanity in the aggregate. Dare I say it, the last of a dying breed.I've met some of the most fun and prolific characters at 24 who've made me feel at home in Pennsylvania, although I am from afar, i.e. Philly . The kind of folks who go out of their way to say hello as they make their way to the bar.Sometimes, after work, feeling a bit peckish, I will peruse the menu and discover some great interpretations of salads (Caesar) and snacks (Truffle fries) that hit the spot and keep me busy enjoying one of my favorite past times: eating. And from what I've seen at various and sundry tables at various times through the course of any given evening, this kitchen delivers hearty inspired entrees sure to give you reason to give positive word of mouth with regard to culinary talent. “How many neighborhood bars have you been to? How many of those places are welcoming if you've been there once, ten or a hundred times? With good, incredibly cheap food AND a pool table? And you can do your laundry next door! With a personable, caring owner who is there day in and day out? This is the epitome of a neighborhood bar. The jukebox is great as well! Don't let the appearance fool you, this is one of the greatest spots you will find in the Reading area.“

“if you want awesome food at very reasonable prices this is the place. always perfectly prepared food. my fave filet and lobster and the prime rib even the baked potato is great. we have never been disapointed in over 10 yrs of going here. if you can handle it they have a 1.5 lb lobster tail and 1.5 lb ribeye combo . this is the ONLY place i ever had lobster that wasnt overcooked and tasted as fresh as when i get them right off the boat in maine. nice portions and very fair prices the owner is the cook. .354 reviews and only 6 negative ones should tell the story“

“Stopped in to relax after a long day with my wife. We were seated immediately. Another couple was seated after we were, and there drink order taken while we waited. Numerous waiters walked past and only looked at us. Waiter came back with there drinks and took there food order while we still waited. We finally said something and the comment was made, oh nobody waited on us yet and off she went. We finally stood up and left, and on the way out somebody was headed our way. While we were waiting 2 waitresses standing at the end of the bar on there phones. Great outdoor place, but last several times service has been horrible. More interested in talking to each other and being on there phones. Don't ask for more information on who it may have been as was asked in previous complaints, just fix it.“
