I love the Farmer's Market here but this was my first time trying Southern Side Kitchen. The owner, Eushanada was incredibly kind, sweet, and patient with me.
Got the fried catfish + shrimp dinner, with mac and cheese, and potato salad as sides, and a slice of sweet potato cheesecake. Everything was fresh and delicious. Most catfish I've had tasted a bit dirty/gritty/muddy to me but this was incredibly clean to the palette.
I love sweet potato as well as cheese cake but couldn't imagine the two together before today, incredible.

This is honestly some of the best food I've ever had the prices are amazing and they give you pounds of food and everything is so good I can not recommend enough and the owner was so nice it seemed like I was eating at my family's house please try this place!!!

I tried to give this thing 10 stars here, but it would not let me. This food is incredibly wonderful fresh and hot when you get it aside that the wonderful mother that owns that business is such a sweet person to talk with. I will be bringing my entire family in to get them some good soul food. We’re from South Carolina and lived there my whole life and it’s been rare to find some good home cooked food up here until I found this place. Keep up the great work!!! Best food around!!!

the first time i went was nice and they explained the menu, and what everything comes with. One of my patients ended up paying for my order. on 7/18, I went and the woman at the counter was a little rude and from her taking my order i had a bad feeling! it look like some had snot or spit on my food, the first time i went my yams looked nothing like this. The owner was and is always nice from what ive seen, but the granny who took my order.. yea nope I wont be back.

Jerk chicken, candied yams, collard greens get 2-thumbs up. So much food was able to get 2-meals out of the platter highly recommend and the service was phenomenal.

I ordered the whiting fish platter with Mac and yams as the sides. The food was delicious and fresh! Also great customer service all around. I give Southern side kitchen five stars for sure!

I really wanted to give 5 stars. The catfish was delicious and so were the fries. I did not care for the mac and cheese...but I am a mac snob. I of course came in right after a large catering order and the staff was so nice and thanked me for my patience. Being busy preparing food is a great problem to have for a restaurant so I did not trip! I'm rooting for the success of all small businesses!
