I eat here at least twice a week just because of the atmosphere and people. All of the bartenders are amazing, and the kitchen staff is extremely good at making the food. They have regularly changing specials and beer on tap that never fails to satisfy. I really love visiting this bar just because it's a nice place to be. In my opinion this is what every local bar should strive to be, inviting and delicious.

Out of all the eateries in the greater Slatington area, SMT has got to be the highest of my recommendations. the place is absolutely fantastic, in both food and service. Not only is it a rustic bar complete with trivia nights and a pool table, but everything is delicious and always served with the highest priority of the customer's requests. The service is perfect, as well. always friendly and accommodating. they all periodically check up on tables, they're known to stop for a quick chat without ignoring their other patrons, and they're completely genuine. For those going, I recommend asking for Kerri. I've had several servers over my visits, all are great, but Kerri has simply been the best. It's at a point where I dont even have to order because she knows exactly what im getting. It's clear she puts her customers first, and it shows. overall, an excellent establishment.

Had lunch today and my French dip grilled cheese sandwich was top notch, my sister's chicken taco salad was majestic, great job!

1st time there, probably last. We were quoted a soup that sounded great, then told nevermind they didn't have any even though it was written on 2 menu boards. Then told there was no chopped chicken which would have been my choice for taco salad, instead I chose pork. It was fine till I started tasting gritty substance every now and then. Imagine my surprise when I brought it home only to see that the lettuce had not been washed!!!

Great dive bar with amazing food! started with the ranch pretzel bites and fried mushrooms, both were delicious! I had the french dip grilled cheese which was incredible and my boyfriend had the cheesesteak which he said was excellent. Bartender was super friendly and attentive, great crowd for college football!

Ordered loaded nachos with pulled pork and got beef. Husband liked it and didn't want to say anything so I gave an extra star. Would have ordered sandwiches but didn't know what we might get. Disappointed especially in such a simple order. I didn't like the beef at all but the chips and veggies were good.

I love this place! The food here is extraordinary. Everything is very affordable, the place is clean, and the atmosphere is great. The bartenders are amazing. I love the clams, wings, and French onion soup. Their trivia/karaoke night is the best! It is my favorite bar/restaurant. The Back is a great place when you want to be outside and enjoy the ambiance of the outside. I strongly recommend this place to EVERYONE.
