Always loved coming here. Food was good. But i dont know if they changed cooks or what but the foods been on a steady decline. Some of the pasta I got was not great. But mainly the burgers. Loved their burgers and would get one once a week. But the last 4-5 times they’ve been burnt. So I’m not sure what’s happened. But I’m gonna take a break and see if things get better.

I’m extremely upset! I live within two minutes of here and up until the last four months or so my husband and I ordered at least once a week from there, chicken wings!! So much so when I called the waitress knew who was ordering and what the order was?! . In the last three or so months, they’ve been terrible…they Taste like they are fried old burnt oil, their soggy and The skin is no longer crispy! I suggest packing them in a paper bag instead of squishing them into a plastic container where they sweat and get soggy??? Mind you you I live 1 mile from here so it’s not like The food is in transit for a while!! Then last night we thought what the heck will try the wings again, And that’s only because the other restaurant we were going to get them from was closed. My husband got wings and I thought, being from the Deep south, maybe I’ll try their new shrimp Poboy. Needless to say, that is not a proper shrimp, Poboy! If you’re going to grill the shrimp and not fry it you absolutely need to State that in your description Of the sandwich!! Or at the very least have your server Give your customer proper description! I’m all about putting your own twist on it but like I said you need to state that so your custom is aware! Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed I was expecting a fried shrimp Poboy, because no one stated otherwise And please for God sakes toast the bun!!!!! It was so soggy it was awful. I couldn’t eat it! I will say the shrimp were well cooked!! I only ate the fries and the shrimp. The absolute worst part, and the one that I was Most excited to taste was the lemon aïoli, pardon me, but it sucked,Big Time !!!! It tasted like dishwater and poured out like dishwater. I’m pretty sure aïoli is supposed to be thick, rich and creamy, trust me it was not it was pure liquid!! It was disgusting.? My recent visit to Twisted Oak Tavern was, unfortunately, a far cry from the enjoyable tavern experience I was hoping for. The food was the biggest letdown.
Overdone and Unimpressive: My dish arrived overcooked. This wasn't a slight crisp - it was dry and lacked flavor, a clear sign it had spent far too long in the kitchen. It left me wondering if the cook even cares about proper preparation.
Unaccommodating Service: When I politely brought the issue to the attention of the staff, the response was less than ideal. Instead of offering a replacement or any kind of an apology, it felt like they simply didn't want to be bothered. There was no attempt to rectify the situation, leaving me feeling like my well-being as a customer wasn't a priority.
Look Elsewhere: Unless you're a fan of overcooked food and indifferent service, I'd strongly recommend avoiding Twisted Oak Tavern. There are many other establishments that can offer a more enjoyable dining experience.

I used to come here all of the time. It was one of my favorite places to go to eat. I ordered take out at least once a week. Recently, I ordered shrimp scampi for me, and a burger for my husband. My shrimp scampi had 4 shrimp in the entire meal, which was $15 and my husband's $15 burger was so soggy that he couldn't even hold the bun as it broke apart. I live less than 5 minutes from this restaurant and being quoted 15-20 minutes to pick up, I was there in 14. I ended up speaking with management and talked to them about this issue. The manager seemed sincere and offered me meals to replace those. I was very appreciative of this and took him up on his offer in getting two bacon cheeseburgers. When I got home with these meals, there was no bacon on either burger and both were burnt terribly. The staff are very nice here, but the cooks absolutely do not care about the quality of food they are putting out. It's obvious in their finished product. Not sure what has changed, but it is very disappointing.

It's sad when your first meal was messed up. Then you are given a complementary meal in replacement that was burnt terribly. It's as if the cook couldn't be bothered. The picture I took of this meal was horrendous. If only you could see. I personally suggest the owner consider getting a new cook. It's obvious they do not care about presentation. I believe they would not like their food this way either. Good luck with the restaurant with this. Being local this does not sit well. Have a great day

Had a lovely dinner experience. Some suggestions that could make this place 5 stars. First, the sign says 19th Hole, not Twisted Tavern. Walking in there are no instructions - wait or sit down. Ordered a chicken quesadilla which was good. Husband got a mushroom Swiss burger which was good, curly fries amazing. I ordered a buffalo flatbread which was good. Their water is terrible and we laughed with folks on either side of us about how badly it needs an extra filter. We may be back.
