Smethport Diner had just re-opened not too long ago The restaurant was clean, neat and had taken precautions to help control the spread of Covid-19. The waitress was fast to get our orders and bring our food. The menu was limited right now but I imagine more item will be added in the future. I had the chicken strips and my husband had a hamburger and fries. There were no complaints from either of us. The Fries and chicken were crispy and everything was hot. We really enjoyed our lunch!

Our waitress was fast and attentive. The menu was limited but with covid-19, they has just recently opened and not serving at full capacity. Waitress and everyone coming in or leaving was wearing their face coverings. It was obvious that that this restaurant was sanitized and clean. My husband ordered a hamburger and fries and I ordered crispy chicken strips and fries. The food was plentiful and very good! Well done!

This place is a hidden treasure in the scenic Allegheny mountain town. The HUBBER BURGER , as advertised on the " Home of the Hubber Burger " sign painted out front , was one of the BEST cheeseburgers youre ever likely to find .It was huge , tasted like it was fresh and never frozen , and the tomatoes and lettuce were crisp and juicy. The manager / server Lisa was a very cool nice person and me and my lady got to learn all about the local legends and lore of Smethport history. For instance, Smethport is the home of the " pinsetter " , the machine used for arranging bowling pins. Also , a famous picture of Bigfoot was taken from a local guy ... its referred to as " Jacob's photo " . This small diner cart was around since the 1930's and before that it was part of a big fire that swept through Smethport.Amazing burger , nice people, great atmosphere , and all served with a side of local history and lore. Thanks Lisa and Jeff for making our random chance visit to Smethport an awesome one.
