Very good food and nice people! always clean and comfortable.
Local diner. Comfortable, down home atmosphere. Good old-style cooking. Great service. (Felt like I was stepping back in time.)
Vegetarian options: Not a lot of choices but they're home style potatoes and buckwheat pancakes were very good.
EXCELLENT service and delicious food...the corned beef hash was such a treat!! (pancakes, too...and coffee!)
Great family restaurant. Good people good service good food.
Kid-friendliness: Accomodations available for kids .
This restaurant is in the back of a Phillips 66 gas station / truck stop. So if you are a trucker or RV'er this is a great place for an over night. They close early-ish and are currently only open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I had a bacon/cheese omelette and my GF had a mix of stuff. Home fries, Sausage patties (looked hand made) and biscuits and gravy. All was very good. Kinda reminds me of a scratch kitchen. Would stop in again.
Just off Route 80. Decent non-chain choice. The owner (age 92) makes all the pies. I had banana cream. A highlight of the trip.
Nice little place very old school somewhat clean and functional
The place was welcoming when we came in and not very busy which was nice but the food came out slow and it was mediocre. The waitress was generally uninterested and dry and seemed annoyed to be serving us . I heard good things about their pies so I got a slice of the peanut butter pie and it was okay but tasted like Splenda. The womens bathroom was sticky on almost every surface in there and the others said the men's bathroom smelled and was very dirty. I probably wouldn't recommend it.
Good food and nice service. You need to read the one and only menu though when you first walk in. That was a little weird, but glad we stopped
Service was great....food ok .......it took a long time when it was not busy.
Restaurantji Recommends
Disgusting,no care for the food they put out.No flavor, bacon undercooked, eggs overcooked, rubber type toast, I have never had eggs so blam and nasty. I’m done with these restaurants putting out garbage food and expect a tip, you want a tip?find a different job that you would actually give a dam about, if you bring me garbage food then dont expect a tip, because it’s just as much your fault for bringing it to your table, you see it’s garbage, and you have the grit to bring it to your table then screw you,no tip.
This restaurant has homemade food and it taste really well .Staff is very helpful and very niceI would tell all to stop here bc their food is well worth it .
Stopped there and bought dessert for takeout. The pies were good and I am confident that everything else there was good. I didn't eat in, but when I finally got to my place I enjoyed the desserts.I did add the maraschino cherry on the pie at home, they did not come from the restaurant like that, but it does make a nice photo. The place was clean and nostalgic. The people were nice. I would recommend to anybody. This is a truck stop that especially accommodates big tractor trailers. So this is a great place for truckers to eat and rest.Again I highly recommend.
Stopped by during CDL a training drive and bought a quick take out dessert. I bought a slice of peanut butter pie, and also a slice of coconut pie to take with me. When I had the chance to eat them, they both were great. I wish I could gave stayed to actually order a meal. The place was clean and the cashier was friendly. I know I would gave enjoyed anything they made.
Nice truck stop to go get breakfast or brunch after church services. Very retro feel and the staff is very hospitable.
