I loved this little spot. It was a bit dirty, but the food was inexpensive and very good and the staff were kind and helpful. The specialty French Fries were especially good. Would definitely recommend and I'm sure I will be going back again.

Nothing fancy about the Barrel. Good food with good people at a good value. Old school home cooked meals. My Brother-in-law turned me on to his old reliable that he ate there for decades, Chicken and biscuits. Just a solid old school homestyle meal. And there's plenty of good breakfast choices. The Good Morning Spring Brook and the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits have never let me down and will get me through til dinnertime. Been going to The Barrel for 30 years and I don't...

Was driving down the highway and wanted to stop somewhere besides a chain restaurant. Ended up being a great choice. Easy access off the highway . The food Was great. seemed like real cooked at home food . Not some frozen chain restaurant stuff. Decent prices. Good choice for someone who wants to take a break from driving and stop for a sit down meal. We got ribs and a berger. I wish I lived closer to try the rest of the menu.
