Amazing place during the right times. The fries are probably the best I've had with very nice waiters. Have gone there plenty and had 1 really bad encounter in which they took an hour to get our food, half of it didn't come ever, and the bit that did was all burnt so I imagine they lost the ticket and forgot the fries in the fryer.

When I need a hearty meal, especially after like a hard day's work or long day out, Smokehouse is very high on my list.

I've been pretty disappointed in the ribs since I moved to this area. But this place might have the best in Pennsylvania.... best portions also.
Perfect small town character. If you don't annoy the staff, they will probably go out of their way to serve you.

We stopped by for lunch and luckily bc it was not too hot we got to enjoy sitting outside. Depending on where you sit, there some spots that are under more shade and some with more sun. The restaurant does sit by a main road so it can get a bit loud at times but there is also an option to sit inside.
The service was spot on. From the moment we sat down, our server was constantly moving and she never skipped a beat on checking in and making sure we were all set.
Now, moving to the food… in ordered the pit beef sandwich and it was amazing! The meat was tender and the potato salad paired nicely with it! My fiancé got the trio slider and each meat was delicious! The pulled pork was slightly on the drier side compared to the beef and turkey.
The onion rings were also amazing! When you bite into them they did not slide off the breading and the size of it did not disappoint. The pretzel was good too, not dry and paired great with the beer cheese!

Ok, Mission Barbecue it's NOT! Food is a bit inconsistent and staff can be rude. I guess its ok for a small town joint but better to get in the car and drive somewhere else lol

TLDR: Great BBQ spot near the Mason-Dixon line with solid smoked meats, a cool outdoor setup, and reasonable prices.
We decided to check out Stewartstown Smokehouse & Beer Barn on a Sunday for lunch, and it hit the spot. It’s tucked right near the Mason-Dixon line. The menu covers all the BBQ basics from pulled pork, brisket, and Maryland-style pit meats.
The setup is casual, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose a picnic table under the big outdoor awning, which also had a bar nearby. Just a heads-up the place sits right off a main road, so if you’re hoping for a super quiet meal, there is a bit of road noise.
Service was great, our waitress was quick with drinks and orders, and had us eating in no time. I went with the slider trio, which lets you pick 3 pit meats and comes with a huge pile of fries. I picked pit beef, turkey, and pulled pork. The turkey was hands down my favorite, juicy, and full of flavor. The pit beef was solid choice as well. However, the pulled pork was a little on the bland side, requiring some help from their BBQ sauce and malt vinegar. Another win was the fries. Handcut and came in a mountain-sized portion which was definitely enough to share.
Others in my group had full-sized sandwiches and agreed that the pit beef and turkey were the winners. At $13 for my trio, it was a great deal.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and craving some good, no-fuss BBQ.

Stopped here for lunch after riding rail bike in Seven Valleys. The pit beef was fantastic, it just melted in your mouth! 10/10 Recommend!

We sat outside and could be noisy at times with traffic going by. I didn't go inside.
