The staff is ignorant and very unpleasant...what staff tells customers to go elsewhere...never go back and recommend no one patronize this establishment
was there this morning with family and friends , the so called owner was a loud mouth. yelling and cursing at us. telling us not to come back!! trust me, you couldn't pay me enough to go back to that dump.
Delicious food. Entire meal was under $10 with a drink included. Granted, it was a weekday special. They substituted my sausage for bacon, as I do not like sausage. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. I usually don’t order scrambled eggs out to eat because they’re overcooked. The home fries were nicely seasoned. Excellent service from Sue. Highly recommend and I’ll be back!

They were out of orange juice, pepsi, whipped cream; some things that should be a staple

Absolutely terrible. Rude service! Had a hair in my creamer plate! Okay it's only the creamer plate but then after watching people who came in after us get their r food first, my food came out 4 minutes after my party was served and while I tried to eat found another hair in my home fries!!! I told the waitress and never even got an apology! Then she tells me she will take it of the bill. I'm like okay. We get the check and they have the audacity to charge us 18% for her tip?!?!? They are crazy! Straight thieves!!!! Never going here again

A nice little breakfast place in East Stroudsburg. The tables are a bit dated and worn, the food was decent. The service was quick with photos of Pocono attractions wallpapered adorned on the walls. Not the best value but not too crazy either.

During a recent visit to the Delaware Water Gap, I had the pleasure of stopping by Compton’s Pancake House, a charming and cozy spot that quickly became a highlight of the trip. Located just a short distance from the scenic trails, Compton’s Pancake House is the perfect stop for anyone looking to fuel up with a hearty breakfast or brunch.
As the name suggests, pancakes are the star of the show at Compton’s, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. My group ordered a variety of different pancakes, ranging from classic buttermilk to more indulgent options like chocolate chip and blueberry. Each stack was fluffy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The pancakes were generously portioned, yet light enough that we could still sample a few different kinds without feeling overwhelmed.
One of the standout features of our visit was the unlimited coffee, which was a nice touch. The coffee was rich and robust, and the servers were quick to keep our mugs full, ensuring we had all the caffeine we needed to power through our day.
The service at Compton’s Pancake House was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was quick and efficient, and our food arrived piping hot.
The laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere at Compton’s makes it an ideal stop whether you’re just passing through or staying in the area for a while. With its delicious pancakes, endless coffee, and great service, Compton’s Pancake House is a must-visit for breakfast lovers. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m near the Delaware Water Gap!
