Came here last weekend wasn't going to write a review, but I cannot stop thinking about my experience at this so-called restaurant. Was here with my husband and a few friends we ordered some drinks to start the night which were the only decent thing that we ordered. We started off with some appetizers. To start off this terrible experience our dishes were filthy. We got the empanadas that are served with a beyond strange red sauce. We asked the server what kind of sauce it was and they couldn't even give me an answer. Couldn't believe that this is called a Mexican restaurant. We also got firecrackers and I honestly have no words for this dish. We all had one bite and didn't touch it again...Then the main course came out, if you can even call it that. I got the fish taco entree and it was absolutely disgusting. The menu says a mango SALSA and what comes out is diced up mangos... The two sides that come with it are the mexican rice and beans. These were completely dry and tasteless. My husband got the steak carne ranchero. This dish is just a ton of rice topped with six pieces of steak. He asked for medium and basically got a medium rare and when we complained to the server they didn't even ask to bring it back to the kitchen to fix it! Then heard them complain in the kitchen and the OWNER had a few things to say very loudly. Our friends got a fajita and bang bang shrimp tacos. The tortillas for the fajita are "steamed" when we asked the server, but when it came out they were completely hard. Bang bang shrimp tacos were the only good thing we got besides the terrible rice and beans.I had a peek into the kitchen when walking to the bathroom and NO ONE wearing a hair net. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. You can tell there is a rodent issue since under the bathroom sink there is literally a glue trap... This place shouldn't even be open. I can't believe that they even have three stars. I wish you can give zero stars on a review. I will never step foot into this place again.

We generally go on a Monday as they serve 1/2 price fajitas. They are a real bargain and you automatically get fresh chips and 2 different types of sauce. Place is clean except for a sometimes sticky restroom floor. Maybe a bit more attention to that, but they generally have no violations with the PA. Dept of Agriculture inspections... That a real plus for me. Owner and staff are very friendly and food is cooked to order. We like it.

Me and a friend decided to go out for some drinks to enjoy the weather yesterday and came across this place. The out door seating was spacious and far enough away from the hustle of main street traffic. The server was wonderful and the margaritas delicious! We both order wraps and they took a lit bit of time, however you could tell everything in them was made absolutely fresh and they were incredibly delicious! 10/10, very excited to come back!

The service was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. They seemed to know the menu well and was very informative when talking about the food. The food was ok.The green salsa was made with pickled jalapenos, which was interesting I guess. The chips were warm when they got to the table, which was very cool. The seven layer dip was mostly sour cream and pinto beans. There were some tomatoes and avocado (guacamole), but I couldn't taste them.My dinner partner had the combination plate with a taco and an enchilada. She said that they were both bland but acceptable.I had the carnitas tacos and couldn't eat more than one. The pork was bland and soggy. I almost filled a 1 oz portion cup (from the salad dressing) when I squeezed the taco over it. There was mayonnaise on my tacos, which I must have missed in the description but it was gross. Mayo + whatever the clear liquid I drained off the taco + salsa + hot sauce was not a good combination. I couldn't scrape enough of the mayo off to make it palatable so I gave up.I would come back to try it again because of the service, but the food was generic American style Mexican food. When I come back I will be more diligent in reading the menu to avoid things like mayonnaise on a taco.Neither of us drink alcohol so I can't attest to the drinks, but I have the impression that they do a booming patio and margarita business in the summer.

The food is pretty bland here. I come from a Hispanic family, I know what most of these items are supposed to taste like. This is a very Americanized Mexican eatery. Also, the decor, tables, and chairs just look so cheap and there’s not really much to the restaurant. Really boring place to eat if you ask me.

Went to eat here last night. The outside of this restaurant is pretty neat and looks inviting. My husband and I walked in and there was no one in the restaurant. The three young women who were manning the hostess station were friendly. We got to chatting with them and asked “is the food good here?”All of them hesitated to answer and the look on their faces said it all. We inquired if we should even eat here and one of them said “no, I cannot recommend to eat here”… wow. I was shocked. We turned around and left.I feel bad for the owner. Not only was the restaurant empty, but the staff wouldn’t even atleast try to fake it to get us to eat here.

I've been coming to Marita's most of my life and it remains one of my favorite places to dine. I often eat here multiple times a week. The service is impeccable-- to the point where nearly the entire staff knows my order and immediately begins serving upon my arrival. The tortilla chips are made fresh daily on premises. I really enjoy the green salsa, which is the spicier of the two. I am not a huge fan of the red salsa, however, combining the two creates a perfect balance for those who enjoy a medium spiciness. I always order a burrito, which is a southwestern style and not the traditional Mexican but it tastes great and I generally have it within minutes of asking them to make it. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is fun. My final tab is $15 including a drink and tip. I highly recommend.

I moved to the area 3 years ago and of course I wanted to support local. My first time to Marita's was at the previous location and I ordered chicken tacos, it was bad and the chicken was tasteless and seemed like just boiled chicken. Okay so on my second visit I ordered the fish taco and it was like boiled cod fish, no kidding. We sat at the bar and had drinks and the owner came and said hi to everyone else at the bar besides me and my friend.Okay, still didn't learn my lesson, went there again for drinks and sat at the bar at the new location and ordered the chicken flautas it tasted okay and the bartenders are always polite but in walks the owner again and he said hello to the white couple at the other end of the bar then turned around and looked at us and said absolutely nothing. This man is a racist and I given this establishment a fair chance but I will not keep giving my money to a racist. Black people stay away. Oh and you should hire some Mexicans to cook .

We have gone for a lunch date since we had been here previously when they opened.Prices have gone up tremendously, and the food was not great this time around. Very bland. It suck there were no lunch specials. We had asked for a little more cilantro and was charged for a sprinkle. Little things such as charging for cilantro is a tad too much.Unfortunately we will not be returning to this place. Expensive and food were not great.

Firecracker poppers were great! Empanadas needed more flavor. The egg rolls were good but the dipping sauce tasted weird. The chicken fajitas were good.

Uninspired and uninspiring. The multiple misspellings on the menu in both Spanish and English ("vegitarian", "polo frito") should have been a clue to leave but we stayed anyway.Chips were at least fresh with salsa that obviously came from a container. Had the 7-layer bean dip; very bland, beans tasted like they had no seasoning at all. The veggie fajitas were a joke, though: broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peppers and onions cooked to a semi-mushy brown in...soy sauce?!? Served with two room-temperature burrito-sized tortillas on a plate. And when I asked for hot sauce, I got a bottle of sriracha.Service was OK. Atmosphere is more sports bar than Southwestern.I wouldn't recommend Marita's. We aren't from the area, but good Mexican food should be easy enough to find elsewere.
