"Tarentum is a dead town" -robert hataljackoff... the funny thing, the town isn't dead, the only thing dead is this toilet of a diner. Good riddance, you will not be missed.
To quote Robert Hatajik from his facebook posts, "Tarentum is a dead town". Why any locals would continue to give this place their business after that is beyond me. The town of Tarentum is far from dead, the people just don't want the bottom shelf greasy food from here, or the disrespect. The sooner this place goes under the better.

Placed an order for a particular burger and the person who took the order didn’t listen to how I wanted the food prepared and when I got home the order was wrong, she was not a good waitress at all. I used to order from hometown often because the food was a good value but more importantly the service was great, I hope they get better staff but for now I will never order from there again, and get the credit card machine fixed or at least let people know that it is going to be cash only when placing an order over the phone!

Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake I made. Skip this place food mediocre, service eh, shady with my credit card claiming it wouldn’t go through but didn’t try. (I get alerts to every transaction!) watered down coffee. Should have known when place was empty. A restaurant with only 2 menus?!

I had breakfast here with my daughter for the first time and it was great. The food was tasty and it was a generous portion for the price! Also, the waitress was super sweet! We will definitely be back!

This was the first time we visited this establishment on 8/26. We like to try out new mom/pop type places and this came up on our google search. As soon as you walk through the front door it feels like you're taking a step back in time. 50's music was playing, the décor was from a time gone by, it was really cool. I found myself just looking around at all the different items they had on the walls, counters, etc.Our server, a younger girl was absolutely fantastic. One of the friendliest servers we've had in recent memory. Very attentive to us, asked us multiple times if we needed anything. I would go back just for the service.I had the "Old Glory" which was 2 eggs, ham, and home fries with rye toast. My meal was under $10 and the amount of food you get was crazy. I told my wife they could easily charge more money for how much food you get. The home fries were so good. Real potatoes, not something that looks like it was out of a can. Even the rye toast tasted better than what I'm used to. Not sure why but it did. The wife got the "Blue Ribbon", 2 eggs, bacon or sausage (she picked sausage), home fries with onions and peppers, and rye toast. She loved it! There was so much she couldn't finish her meal. The bill came to about $22 with a coke and a coffee. We will definitely come back again.

Former employee, the kitchen is absolutely disgusting. Nothing is labeled or dated. They serve frozen food from who even knows when it was made. I have cleaned so much moldy food, maggots, fruit fly larvae, flies and mouse feces it's a health hazard. Almost everything comes out of cheap cans like the sausage gravy, peppers, mushrooms, cheese sauce, corned beef; you name it. Half of the time they don't have any disposable gloves so I'm certain there's cross contamination from raw food to cooked food. I can no longer support this business and hide their secrets. For your own sanity stay far away. Cindy will bleed you dry, use you and dispose of you when she is done. I have screenshots of proof.
Was so good

Delicious Food!
I had the pot roast sandwich and it was amazing. Done of the best pot roast and gravy I've had in the surrounding Pittsburgh area. They asked if I wanted gravy on the fries and the really good gravy went so well with the fries I'm glad I said yes. Highly recommend this.Mom has the 1/4 lb burger and said it was really good and cooked just right. She was very happy with her burger and onion rings.Got a piece of their coconut cream pie and chocolate cream pie. The cream is really thick for the pies. It wasn't what I thought of as a good pie, but it didn't taste bad just the texture was off from what I expected and what I liked.I was too full to try any ice cream but it looked like they had some good options.
