Top notch establishment with an interesting scratch menu. Well appointed rooms and professionally staffed. Sunday brunch was above grade.
I had the Thursday cheesesteak special and my husband tried the buffalo melt. We were very pleased with our choice 😀.
We just had our daughter's bridal shower here. To say that the staff here made it perfect is an understatement. The room was awesome. The food was delicious. The staff was so friendly and incredible. They made her special day amazing and we are very grateful. If you're looking for a great place for a private party, go here. You will be very happy that you did.
STAY AWAY!!! Planning a wedding is stressful enough without being left in the dark by your venue. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened here. The staff became completely unresponsive while I was actively trying to plan one of the most important days of my life. Not just once but Multiple times After weeks of silence, they abruptly returned my deposit with no legit explanation other then they are up for sale forcing me to scramble for a new venue at the last minute. To make matters worse, I had to change my wedding date — a huge inconvenience for my family and guests. When we did try the food during the planning process, it was honestly terrible — definitely not up to the standard you’d expect from a wedding venue. The biggest red flag: the venue is apparently up for sale, search it up, you’ll find it. yet they are still booking events. That feels incredibly dishonest and risky for any couple planning their big day. I would not recommend this venue to anyone. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. We ended up going back to our dream venue, the one we fell in love with first and booked it so it was a blessing in disguise!
Great food and our server was phenomenal. Without a doubt will be back!
We've been to the rising Sun a few times and worked with Teresa. We had a wonderful experience for our daughter's baptism and hosting family from out of town.
Everyone was thrilled with the venue, the staff was easy to work with and we were especially impressed with the young teenagers who were very respectful and professional.
You can tell the staff is treated well and enjoys working there. It's a nice place to go to get food but if you are hosting an event there are many options for you and I strongly recommend it.
The food is very expensive for what you get. Portions are small. It takes forever for your food to come out, al most thought they forgot about us. Ordered chocolate milk that looked more and tasted like plan white milk. When questioned the waiter they said it's because they ran out of chocolate. Do not recommend this place and will not be back again.
I brought my mother here for Mother’s Day
and the staff was exceptional. The buffet had a large variety of food. Five stars would come again.
I am a little late with my review but we had my daughter's bridal shower at Rising Sun and I couldn't be more pleased! Teresa and her staff were amazing! The decore and food were the best. My guests raved and continue to tell me how wonderful they thought it was. We were so happy with everything we asked Teresa to cater the wedding. That was just as fabulous. They had everything down to a science. I would highly recommend
The manager at this venue is unprofessional and could not handle my 83 person formal event at the barn. I’m disappointed and sad my daughter’s birthday dinner that was so special to me turned out this way. I do not recommend this restaurant/venue. If anyone knows the owner of this Rising Sun please let me know. The manager who blames her staff will not give me their information. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau.

I have heard wonderful things so I was surprised at our experience. I ordered the cranberry mule and it was very good. My husband ordered the brown sugar old fashion. It tasted like whiskey and water, no garnish. My burger was good but the onion rings were soggy with oil. I sat next to an empty water cup the entire time I ate my dinner and no one checked on our table. Once we were finished, the waitress finally reappeared. She simple offered a small apology for my onion rings being inedible. We did not stay for dessert and will not be returning.
Parking: They have a big lot. You park yourself. They are not big on snow removal or making sure icy spots are salted.

Have not been here for along time and won’t be back for along time if ever! The food was tasteless.. my steak was COLD .. my sons 16oz t bone was so fatty and not rendered he had a hard time chewing it .. the airline chicken was so tiny couldn’t even find it on the plate! The mash potato and greens beans were so bland!! The salad was nice but the house dressing ..the rolls cold and stale nothing to write home about.. our waitress was the best thing.. nice polite and attentive .. it was cold in the dining room!’ I didn’t complain because we were celebrating a birthday and I didn’t want to make a scene!! For the money I spent it was a waste and I can see why there was only 5 tables with customers all evening!!
