While Dutch Maid is definitely the reason for at LEAST 15% of my body fat they make the BEST cakes, treats, and pretzel donuts, and quite literally everything between known to man. These folks have been making my birthday cakes my whole life, and have now started to make cakes for my family and friends as we've introduced them. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Fresh, great tasting, homemade donuts and pastries. I was visiting from out of town and picked up a variety of items from the location on Kutztown Road in Temple. We loved everything. The apple fritter was excellent - it actually had pieces of apple in it! The lady working was friendly and helpful. The prices ranged from $2 - $3.50 an item. There's not much to the place and it's pretty unassuming from the outside, but well worth trying and supporting local!
I don't give out the title of "Best Donuts in Berks" lightly, but Dutch-Maid Bakery has my heart and my stomach. Honestly, these donuts are so good and highly addicting. They are huge, soft and sweet. It's a favorite place for me!
