It honestly pains me write this because we love this place. We’ve lived in this area for years and have frequented this place very often. We come as a family and we’ve brought friends. We love that a local place is always busy and getting great business.
But, this brings me to tonight. I would also like to mention, I have worked in the resturant business for 20 years. I have been a hostess, waitress, bartender and manager. I know how the resturant business works, inside and out.
My husband got there about 10 minutes before me. He texts me that it’s a 10 minute wait, okay perfect. We are a party of 5 and a 1/2. We get there and my husband meets me outside and explains that it was initially a 10 minute wait. Then a reservation came in that they forgot about that they need to seat first so now it will be a 35-45 minute wait. 10 minutes later, a party of 8 comes in. We’re all waiting together. They get seated first. My husband goes up and says, politely, “I hate to be this person, but we were here for a bit before them. Will we be seated soon?” The hostess looks at her tablet and says, I’m so sorry and goes around the corner to talk to someone. Comes back to the host stand but never acknowledges us again. Instead, each time a party comes in, she looks at her tablet, looks directly at us and then seats them. This happens for an additional 45 minutes. We are now there waiting at this point for an hour, which was an original 10 minute wait. My husband did go up again and asked how much longer and she said we were next. (We were the only ones there waiting, of course we’re “next”). Several tables were sat a head of us. I understand small parties being sat ahead, no problem. At least 3 larger parties were sat that came in after us. Again, hostess looks at the tablet, looks at us, seats the party. At this point it feels like she clearly dislikes us and I’m honestly not sure why. We kept our 3 young children quiet and under control in the small waiting area for over an hour at this point.
The final straw was that a party of 4 came in and asked how long the wait was. They were told there was no wait and sat immediately. Meanwhile we are still sitting there. I looked at the host and told her to take our name off the list (we had to be the only name on there because we were the only ones ever waiting) and she look flabbergasted that I said this because we were apparently next to be seated.
It is highly likely we will never come back to this establishment. It’s a shame because we are local and love this resturant. I actually recommended them to family earlier this week. I wish them great success but tonight, they lost many loyal customers.
Flavorful but damn it gave me the worst diarrhea ive ever had. People are nice

Went in for takeout, paid with cash and greeter didn’t give me my coin change, so I told her to just add it to tip box and I added something else to the tip box as well. Please teach greeters to not assume that change from purchase is theirs to keep!
Also no salsa for my hubby’s Tortta? Not sure how that was missed.

Came in on 11/25/2025 to celebrate my mother in law's 83rd birthday. The dishes were exceptional and the service excellent considering our group size of 12. I had the beef burrito which delicious. Thanks to all at Casa Herrera for a memorable experience.

After hearing everyone rave about this place I finally made it there. Wow. Awesome! I had the Molcajete Bowl. Best I’ve ever tasted. It’s out of my way but I’ll be back for certain.

I love a lot of things about this place and I love the enchiladas they serve however they are just slightly overpriced and causes me to get them elsewhere most of the time I am in the mood for Mexican food.
